I think the OP mentioned 2 x 500 gallons, so about 9000 Ibs including tanks etc.
If recall the data plate correctly, it is listing 10,000 lbs on-highway. Highway in the military sense is any solid-ish road surface, such as a gravel road.
5000 lbs off-road, which in the military sense means a...
Can't see the actual detail of the cut-down job but I dig the looks with the cargo bed and the wheelwell cut outs from the van box. Unique and looks more stylish than the regular bed. Is it open in the back or did they redneck a tail gate? By the sounds of it you have done some much needed...
If it helps, I bought regular delineator decals, got magnetic backing material online and made my own removable delineator panels. Easy peasy.

If you go for the under dash mount of the heater, I recommend two things:
- cut down the heater box; most of it is empty space that is unnecessary
- use the diverter box for a 5ton, it has the intake on the right and that works perfect with the under dash placement of the heater.
I do not have...
Holy _____ No human got hurt, that is the main thing. A few good things in your favour
- truck did not roll. Fenders, roof, doors and other sheet metal looks relatively healthy. The mirrors are good :)
- the axles took a beating. While that is bad, it may have saved the frame. The rear axles...
I second @m715mike on rockwelloffroad.com boots. Their heavy duty boots are a tad oversized on purpose to ease installation. I changed them about three years ago and they are still perfect. I can say that install was a breeze. Mine are orange.....because...
It was not my intention to mislead.
Your situation made perfect sense and if it had been me, I would have posted the ad without a second thought. I would have been mistaken.
Firstly, perhaps there is room for discussion with the moderators. The rules are there for a reason - namely, to prevent...
My suggestion would be to support this site with the few bucks it costs and recoup the money when the truck sells.

@Mullaney I deliberately picked a base with a wasted seat because I knew I was going to throw the seat away. I also did my best to appear as if I did not care whether I bought it or not....letting a jun...salvage yard owner know you really want/need something is like pouring blood into the water...
I strongly recommend an air ride seat base out of a commercial truck cab, with a Humvee seat or similar on top. Makes it look stock. Measure the height of the base you need before you go hunting. Its easy to pick one that's too high. I paid $50 for mine at the junkyard. I deliberately picked an...
Good on you for finding a new rad. Methinks your rad leak was high up if it only bubbles when the truck is shut off. The rad is easy to repair (and worth repairing, given the prices of NOS or even good takeout ones).
A good place to plug spin-on filters.
Oil leaks on top of the engine are often tricky to diagnose because the fan blows the oil everywhere.

It has been a while since I installed my solid boots but I remember the cutout situation making sense when looking at it on the truck. One of the recesses on the outside is to accommodate the screw of the clamp so it does not dig into the boot.
I found that the rear end of my truck quieted down significantly with the upgraded dog bone ends installed. My theory is that the rubber bushings in the original ends store the energy that deforms them and feed it back to the axles. The Heim joint type ends don't do that. Less jumping around as...
