    Temperature sender wire

https://olive-drab.com/od_mseries_circuits.php I found this list of circuit numbers while I was cleaning up my wiring following a hi beam indicator replacement. I looked up all the numbers from the dash connectors and sure enough...the numbers matched. Leave it to the military to have a...

    Engine Temperature Hi-jinks

Sounds like a solid plan. I plan on doing a full cooling system refresh with all new OEM sensors and thermostat soon just to be sure everything is top notch cooling wise. I am not a fan of seeing 230 on the gauge either

Its easier to handle them by separating them.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Neighbor has an old commercial sewing machine from the 40s. Stout needle would go through four layers of vinyl, velcro, and zipper without trying hard. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

    Fuel Sender Help

Does your tank have the metal plate baffles, or the plastic box in the bottom? Are you replacing the old float arm style sender?

    Wait to start light blinking

Mine has done the blinky hard start on three occasions. After an episode, its fine for a few months and is perfectly fine and fast starting. I have the old Nartron yellow label EESS

    Polyurethane bushings

Unless you are building a rig that is going to take extra thrashing, I would advise to stick with the OE style rubber bushings. They typically last 20-25 years and they absorb a lot of road shock that poly transmits to the frame and body and eventually to you. In my younger days, I installed...

    Looking for a Wire Number

When I added reverse lights, we got power from the panel bright circuit. I use the visible panel lights as a visual check that my lights are on.

    Overheating 🥵

Are you talking about the friction lining of the clutch itself? Thats also a possibility ...as you've experienced. I suppose a test for that would be to watch and listen for fan engagement while you plug and unplug the four way plug of the TDM. If it moves alot and doesnt start roaring airflow...

    Engine oil- Military or civilian?

While both straight 30 and 15w40 are both perfectly fine, It seem like the military switched from the 30 to the 15w40. I personally prefer Shell Rotella but will buy whichever oil is on sale at the time. For our recreational uses, they are functionally all good oils and not worth paying extra...

HMMWV Hood Lift gas shock - anyone MADE one?

Nice find. Now I have another fabrication project. Ive been hating on that prop rod since day 1.

    Air filter options

Yeah, Oiled "performance" air filters are a bad deal. Ive tried them, and they are not to be recommended. They DO pass more and larger particles of dust, and they suck oil into the intake and then coat it with said dust. They cause more damage to gas engines by coating their IAT sensors and...

    Overheating 🥵

Another possibility is the fan switch in the crossover being bad. Check for continuity when cold, and again when over 220. It signals when to engage the fan

    Overheating 🥵

My first impression driving mine on the road is that they seem to run at what looks like too hot on the gauge. Gave me anxiety the first few times I drove it any distance. Mine has always kicked on right at the 220 hash mark. It cycles consistently when I'm driving in traffic 40-50 MPH. I found...

    Overheating 🥵

From what I've read here on SS, the TDM is not known for reliability. It has a reputation as the most likely culprit in overheating issues involving the fan clutch.

HMMWV Hood Lift gas shock - anyone MADE one?

I had a hood lift kit on my 05 Rubicon. It was really nice to have and was well made but it was only around $100.
