    NSN for M35 trucks

I checked NSN 2320-00-835-8519. It's also for the M35. Don't know why there are 2 NSNs for one piece of equipment. It's in my list. NSN 2320-00-835-8463. Year of mfg. 1952. Hood number was 4C1620

    m35a1 heater and motor id

You are right, but the lifting eyes could have been added later by the USMC, before the truck was surplussed. Or the whole bumper could have been replaced. I dont know wether the paperclips were installed at the factory, or by the USMC, even on the later trucks. I have very little knowledge...

    M151's in Arizona?

I would be happy with just 6 of the cardboard packaging cylinders to put in the rear ammo racks. Finding a demilled 106 would be great. I just don't know where to look for one. I read somewhere that Spain is currently surplussing all its 106.

    M151's in Arizona?

No, I just did not have a second seat at the time. I have since installed one . And a fire extinguisher on the left front fender. Finding information on how to correctly install equipment on a M825 is a pain. I am still trying to find out how to install the decontaminator bottle. I know it goes...

    m35a1 heater and motor id

The engine data plate is located on the right side of the block. Right below the plate, and above the ''firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4'', there should be the date of mfg. cast into the block. ''First run 12-22-82'' could have been painted on a rebuilt or new LDS 427-2 in 1982. The old style...

    M151's in Arizona?

Brand new. Well, they were when put in storage..That is the only picture i have on this computer. The one with all the pictures crashed. I took this picture recently to prove the existence of the ''spare tire carrier body number''. I will have to take new pictures, but this will not be before...

    M151's in Arizona?

I have one of those ''barstow mutts'', a 1972 AMG non -emissions. I bought it about 10 years ago, with 52 original miles on it. Former radio truck, looks like it was stored in a warehouse. No batteries, top or seat cushions. Tires are slightly cracked. The outline of the camo pattern is not...

    NSN for M35 trucks

I do have a 1965 TM 9-2320-209-10, without the -1, but there are no NSNs in it. The NSN list is in the 1976 -34P, page viii, change 1 It's not in the list. The installation of a hardtop, instead of the softtop, does not change the truck's nsn, not even if there was no cab top at all.

Old mixed parts M35 Gasser VIN ID ?, please.

It may even be an original setup, but it sure doesn't look like one: As can be seen in the pictures, it does not line up with the cutout in the tank bracket, hangs very low, and is suspended only by the turbo and the bracket at the end. It looks more like a cheap one-fits-all replacement...

Old mixed parts M35 Gasser VIN ID ?, please.

TM 9-2320-235-10, M35A1, Dec.1961, shows the taillights mounted to the frame. TM 9-8022 (M35 gasser), Dec. 1954, shows the taillights mounted to the cargo bed. In both cases, the taillights are the old version (left and right are different), the left one is the service tail/stop & blackout tail...

Old mixed parts M35 Gasser VIN ID ?, please.

The changeover to the big instrument panel could have been in 1962 as well, all i know is that the 1963 models i have seen all had it. I never paid much attention to the shifters, but the transmissions on -A1 and -A2 models are the same, and the shifters are part of the transmission, so they...

Old mixed parts M35 Gasser VIN ID ?, please.

The exhaust hanger is different on earlier trucks. The pictures show a later M35A1, the new style bracket came about in 1963-64 and was kept even after the changeover to M35A2, until the vertical exhaust stack was introduced. The exhaust hangers must have changed a lot over the years. Some older...

Old mixed parts M35 Gasser VIN ID ?, please.

Thanks, David, and you are welcome! And I learned something from You, too: I always thought the frame number on -A1 trucks was on the right frame rail, no wonder i could not find it. I read it somewhere, and never verified it. The brackets are there on my truck too, but the 2 pairs in the...

Coolant Heater oil pan shroud Picture

Rosco: The flexible exhaust pipe goes through a hole at the top front of the battery compartment (there should be a knock-out plug), near the firewall, then it runs on the inside of the inner fender slope, where it is held in place with a clamp, and then goes over the frame and into the oil pan...

    Arctic bed heater

Was that really a thing? What did the switch do? Any pictures? When a fuel fired heater is turned off, the blower will keep running for a few minutes to cool and prevent damage to the combustion chamber. In case of an atomic attack, you need the blower to stop immediately, as it would...

    4 Color Camo

The only 4-color camo pattern in official use in Germany in 1974 was the experimental M.A.S.S.T.E.R. pattern, also (incorrectly) known as 7th Army pattern. Some units kept using this pattern even after the new MERDC pattern (above, in M813rc's post) was introduced in 1975. With its large sand...

    M35A1 engine

I have a 1962 M35A1, too. The airfilter to turbo pipe is the same diameter at both ends, and the bends are not as sharp as on the A2 pipe. Looks like the one in JasonS' picture. There is a mfg. date cast into the block just below the data plate. It should be older than 1965 if it is a LDS427-2...
