    M925A2 snow plow install

Definitely curious how your truck will do in the thick stuff then! It is, after all, a "heavy" truck...so it should do it?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Love it, Spyderman! I also plan on daily driving mine once I get one.

    M925A2 snow plow install

Looks like a fun project. Beautiful truck too, got any overall pics?

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Yeah, I knew that the studs had a lesser R-value, I knew someone who built with 2X4 studs staggered to avoid that. I'll have to bug the arctic engineering department this spring. I've also lived very hot places too, where I grew up in CA single pane aluminum frame slider windows used to be the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

They are ugly, but in such a way that they're beautiful. I'm partial to the M939 "Head" and "Face". One of many reasons I love these trucks, the way they look!

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

S280 or build my own is I guess maybe where it's at then. Ideas for lightweight but strong materials? I'd think aluminum but it'd be just a giant heat sink in this climate. Maybe fiberglass? Anyone try that?

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Maybe that would fit! Would an M934 box fit in the bed of a 927, so as to be lift-out-so-I-have-a-cargo-truck-able?

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Interesting! Considering that fits in the bed of a Deuce I could conceivably also have space to the rear to still use as a cargo truck? Anything longer than an S280, but as wide? I'd like to avoid propane heaters for the reasons mentioned, probably electric, realistically speaking? Or...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

    Lots?

NC Christmas Parade MV roll a success

    Beautiful truck!

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Clever, but looks like you'd be feeding it constantly. Maybe not...I could be wrong.

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Not yet. I have, however, wondered that quite a bit, still very much in the throwing ideas around phase. I guess the bed/floor would be the biggest issue, also because it's a giant steel heat sink! So far I've pictured stick-built 2X4, maybe double-walled, but like you said weight may be an...

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Interesting thoughts! VPed, that's my thing, I'd like to potentially have it as a livable structure off of the truck at times..but maybe just build a platform? The little solid-fuel stove sure seems like an interesting concept, too.

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

VPed, there's another idea I never thought of! Maybe I'll have to consider that...though I pictured building something with square ends/corners to maximize space. How do you secure it so it doesn't move at all while driving?

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

Was thinking a little diesel Monitor/ToyoStove, though both that and a pellet require electricity, but not MUCH. Either that or electric space heaters.

Definitely! Still in the idea phase here. Any other ideas?

    M923A1 30,000mile OTR Report

Very nice write up, this kind of thing fascinates me as someone who's considering not only daily driving a 923 or 925 but also driving cross-country with one visiting most if not all states. Keep us posted on how things progress.

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

That's what I thought. I'd build my own box, maybe just stick built 2X4 and plywood?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Get him a M923A1 like yours! Or give him yours and get another one yourself! These are such neat trucks, I love everything about them for what they are, not what they aren't, and fully intend on getting myself one, possibly even as a first vehicle (18 y/o college student here) and daily...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Spyderman, do you mean a 5 ton? I'd like to get my kids 5 tons as daily drivers, if I ever have kids.
