The OD site is where I got my reference number of 10 from. It says that in regards to the M35 series only, not the older stuff.
I have a Reo and it says Reo Motors, Inc. on the plate.
I am going on Thursday to start picking up from the big sale at Redstone and one of them was described...
first year for the M35
Another thing I could not nail down directly was when the M35 was first produced. It said 1949 for the M34 and then they soon changed to the M35, but how soon is soon?

I don't know if you can still access it or not, but here is a link to the closed GL listing on the Utica. It calls it a Utica Bend subsidiary of Curtiss-Wright.

2320 - Trucks & Truck Tractors, Wheeled at Government Liquidation
I might be interested in this truck if...
I was researching and ran across where it said the Deuce was manufactured by ten different companies. I know Kasier Jeep, AM General, Reo, and Studebacker. I also saw a Utica go on GL recently. That only gets me up to five.
Who are the other five manufacturers?
Does anyone know how many...
I have had a little better luck on some as their forklift was down for a while in Redstone. My question is, how did they do it when their forklift was down? They have tons of buildings there with loading dock height ramps. They could simply drive or pull them off in their and tow them to the...
Hooray!
I know they must be exhausted. That was not a fun trip. I hate that they didn't come close enough to me to help them out. It sounds like they would have been better off to trade their whole truck in for another to drive home.

I just discovered today that I have eight 5-ton axles with the Detroit lockers in them. They are removed from the trucks and ready to be sold! They came off of USMC M-817 dump trucks.
If anyone needs some, let me know. I will take $500 each for the Detroit lockers. The whole axles are...
How about a nice side shot so we can see how the tires fill out the fender wells? I am bobbing a Deuce now and plan to keep the factory rims and dual rears, but was thinking of putting some 1100R20 bigger tires on it. I would like to see better how they look on your truck.

You have to have a credit card on file to bid, but I rarely ever use it to pay for my purchases. I talked with GL and told them to never bill my CC unless I call and tell them to. I pay for all of my truck purchases with wire transfers. I only use the CC for little stuff like backpacks and...
Underneath all of the junk it looks to be a fairly clean, solid, complete truck. $8500 seems high though.
I just won a M543A2 from GL and hope to get it home next week sometime. Wreckers are hard to get cheap. I am not sure, but aren't these models gassers?

I got the only real "M36A2" in the lot. I have been trying for months to get one and finally did. I got two really nice Deuces, one not so nice and a Studebaker/Packard one too.
I surely was hoping to buy about 20 trucks at $3-400 each, not!

If you are going through Chattanooga, TN you will pass by me. I am 2 miles off I-75 just south of it in GA. I have several 5-tons I am parting out and might have some goodies you want, not to mention Deuce stuff.

Ouch! I hate that for you. I had to leave my Toyota in the woods a few times back when I was younger and did such things and it wasn't fun, but it was always still there when I went back. I am sure yours will be too.:-D
Sorry about all of the smiley faces, but my little girl is...
Bubba,
I am glad to hear you made it home alright. I was worried about you being out after dark and your generator not running. I got home just now, 7:30 Monday night.
We had a fun time at our first rally and really learned a lot, but it didn't come easy or cheap. We had to resort to...
flasher
I think it is the flasher relay. I have had several go bad on me. If you connect power around the relay, it will not blink because you are bypassing the flasher thing that is supposed to make it blink.

I will throw in a couple of rear wiring harness' I just took off some scrapped trucks.
I am also bringing two nearly new drivers doors, an exhaust pipe, a fuel tank, ... just about everything I can get on my trailer. I will look like the Clampets when I show up:razz:

5-ton dump PTO
Are your trucks multifuels? I have three M-817 Cummins 5-ton dumps and they don't have PTO's. The hydraulic pump is built into the motor. Maybe they are newer than yours?
