I had the 1000# version from them and it was horrible. With a cast iron SM465 trans for my CUCV it groaned and creaked and was horribly flimsy. Might be fine for an auto trans but it was terrible for the SM My estimate for weight of the SM is 175#.
Keep watching. My son bought one here on Steel Soldiers around the beginning of December. Seller offered it for $2500 and is was up for a couple of weeks before he bought it. It's a great runner that was unmolested by civilian hands.

Another alternative is the shortened column. I don't recall who was making them but it gained folks a few more inches at the expense of moving the wheel down.
And...and, you might be able to download TM 9-2320-361-20. There is a wiring schematic in the appendix. I can bring those up on my phone and print from there.
