With 16.00s on my M925 I don't even see 5th gear until cruising on the interstate.
Thing is, you pretty much need to treat the transmission as a manual. Otherwise the downshift will be late and the upshifts will be early.

I've got several 18' sections of cable, with amphenol 14-5 connectors on one end, and 3/8 ring connectors on the other. It's 4 conductor at the distal end, but you could combine the conductors to make it two, or just dead end the two you don't need.

There's white insulated copper pairs designed to be used inside walls. It's typically about $0.30/ft @ 16ga.
There's black insulated copper pairs rated for direct burial and used for things like outside lighting. Cost is something like $0.60 per foot.

Almost any newly acquired truck is going to need you to go through it. Brakes in particular deserve a good hard look.
There's a bunch of stuff that may need attention up front. But once you've completed this initial service, you're unlikely to put enough miles on it to need to do anything...
I use one of these. It does 24V through the slave port to keep all the batteries at full charge, or it can be clipped to one battery at a time @12V to pulse/resurrect/compensate for uneven charging.
Looks nice. Has winch. Upgraded seats. G177s. Clearly someone loved it. Presuming clean transferable AZ title.
