I bought an M925A1 that had an A2 wheel and CTIS wheelweight on it, driver side front wheel. It went on towbars behind another truck. The unbalance was not noticeable under those conditions. It was probably fantastically dangerous. I towed it this way a couple hundred miles.
After I got it...
On the other hand, it's not a common item, so if you find yourself in need of one the value may be high. But $350 seems reasonable to me for both the buyer and the seller.
Having given it some thought, I came up with a scenario where it would be useful - you're at a star party campout and need to depart. While other attendees are still observing and still have astrophotography running. Turning on any lights would ruin it.
Granted, it's a very limited use....
I don't think so. VT's documents supersede that old title. Presumably, the VT issuing agency notified the existing titling authority about the title change.
Even if not, current owner has a physical copy of the released title in his possession.
The previous owner hypothetically claiming it...
I put one of the aluminum autozone radiators in my pickup truck. It failed after about 2 years and 20k miles.
Sample size of one. Not directly applicable to the cucv, but still relevant.
I was presuming that you had some use for the 806B other than just the RV.
For example, my generator also runs my welder and plasma cutter, not just my RV.
Just out of curiosity, do you use a 20lb sledgehammer
🔨 to swat flies 🪰 ? :)
This is completely consistent with my opinion/experience/research on the topic.
For diesel engines, conventional oil changed frequently is the way to go.
I use Rotella in all my diesels, and change it yearly or 5k miles whichever comes first.
Not unless you need the extra functionality.
I power my RV with a female 5pin plug I wired in place of the ECU. (Mine is a drash type applied companies model, but the principle is the same.)
The limiting factor is gearing . With the 3 speed you can run it a little over 60mph, but it isn't happy and won't live long. 53-55mph is the sweet spot.
Adding a turbo won't help this. Power isn't the choke point.
If a higher top speed is desired, a transmission swap is in order, and isn't...
I'm not. I sold the gooseneck trailer and no longer have the capability to move vehicles that aren't drivable.
I appreciate you thinking about me though.
You can do it right, or you can do it multiple times, or you can wish you did it differently.
Having done it multiple times, I have come to the conclusion that 395's on aluminum MRAP rims are the answer.
