57lafrance was having some image upload issues, so he emailed them to me and I'm putting them up for him. I'm sure he'll be along shortly to add commentary.

    Working the Deuce, Vol. 12,385

I really thought when I bought my first deuce all those years ago that it was one of those things like a boat or motorcycle that eats up a lot of time and money but really serves no practical purpose (I don't think you can call "fun" practical). But we use our deuces (me and my small circle of...

    Working the Deuce, Vol. 12,385

So my buddy u/It'saplymouth calls me last night and is all "Hey, can you bring the deuce over to the development in Bogart? I've stuck the Jacobsen mower in a detention pond." I go over and walk the area with him, we made a plan and got the mower out in less time that it took to make the plan...

US Army WW1 M1917 Ambulance (Ford)

We saw your ambulance at the convention last month, the pictures here just don't do it justice, you did a great job with it. I have little doubt it's nicer than it was when it left the factory. Here are some pictures we took:

Next you need to pull the rod caps off and look at the bearings. These are tri-metal bearings so there will be a silver top surface, with copper showing beneath when they get worn. Here's a bearing where the outer layer of material has been worn down: After you check all the rods, you can...

    Does a 12V M-series voltmeter exist?

Ah, much thanks! I went looking for a 1070 interior shot and found a very good example on prime portal (an excellent site). Very high resolution image here: http://data3.primeportal.net/transports/jeremy_mowers/het_cab_empty/images/het_empty_cab_08_of_17.jpg That's not an exact...

    Changing Rear Main Seal

I don't remember there being a bunch of different discs (I've seen 5 and 6 puck units) but there are 3 and 4 finger pressure plates. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?32550-Duce-clutch-disk-pucks...

    M-series flasher relay - civvy conversion how-to

I was wrong. It wasn't the blinkers not blinking, it was the indicator light on the turn signal switch not illuminating when the blinkers were on. Poor grounding of the switch to the column. So I've had zero issues since installation and I'd say half the time the truck is driven it's with a...

    Does a 12V M-series voltmeter exist?

I want to buy a voltmeter that looks identical to the standard M-series 24V unit, but that is for 12V applications. Does such a thing exist?

My New Project - 1942 Ford GPW

I have read that the "F" marks were a warranty thing-that Ford didn't want to warranty a single Willys item- and that would make sense since so many of the items (like ring gears and such) are marked, even though they can not be seen. I certainly wouldn't put it past him (the recognition thing).

Preparing to get an LDS ready for the swap - questions

I'd absolutely do the head gaskets. What's the joke about there being two kinds of multifuel owners: Those who have done head gaskets and those who are going to do head gaskets. As long as it torn down that far and it's now smaller and easier to maneuver, I'd consider checking the bearings in...

    My M1009, what to do...

So in reality, there are 3 kinds of shops that will touch this: A. The redneck losers NDT mentioned. They'll (maybe) grind the rust away and fill the holes with bondo or all metal. Your paint job will self destruct within 6-12 months as all the rust they didn't fix will resurface. B. The...
