I saw Wehring's truck and trailer in Lawrenceville, Ga, yesterday and it was first class (especially the hitch).
I also want to thank Wehring for calling me yesterday and giving me a heads up on arrival and departure times so my Dad and I could have time to meet the group.
Wehring, when do you guys think you're gonna' make it to Lawrenceville, Ga for the lunch stop tomorrow? Some of us SS folks wanna' come say hi but we don't when to expect ya'll.
Thanks
I went to the Ga. MVPA monthly meeting today and we (SS) were invited to their fall rally. They're having their rally in conjunction with the Southern CJ Jeep sales group's fall rally.
It's this coming Saturday and it's a one day event. You can see the event on their Facebook page here...
Are you referring to the radial tire upgrade? Because I have about $1900 in my G177 upgrade and I have absolutely no doubt that in the long run, I will save money. The lifespan of modern radials like the G177 is so much longer than the soft bias ply NDT or NDCC tires that they aren't even in...
g503.com is an excellent community for WWII Jeeps.
That being said....................
What I see:
The added lights on top of the front fenders are likely turn signals, added for safety or to meet safety regulations. They moved the blackout light on the drivers fender backwards to...
I have been playing with cars for a long time and have still never been able to decide what the best choice is here.
Pressure washing it is fast and easy but the inevitable sprayback sucks and the environmental issues are non favorable.
I have a nice 30 gallons parts washer but it takes...
Here's the thing about deuces and trailers (and I guess this goes for 5-tons as well).
If you want to pull normal, civvy type car haulers or even deckover style trailers, you'll need a receiver hitch and a dropped drawbar. The factory pintle is so high that even if your deckover has an...
Do you have the factory arms on the air motors or do you have the M44A3 style electric wipers?
I've never found the factory air ones as a civilian unit-I've only seen them at surplus places.
If you do a conversion to civilian arms, you can use civilian blades as well. There are some good...
Just be honest: "It's one of the 3 or 4 best military vehicle rallies in the country and only dorks don't attend it"
I totally agree with SWB's sentiment. I really thought after we had 106 trucks in 2012 and 109 in 2013 that the rally had sort of plateau'd in terms of growth. Then it grew...
George was a great guy. I bought my NOS 20' slave cable from him and he spent an hour on the phone chatting with me about MVs. Seemed like a really great guy.
I really like the A3 cushion, it's super comfortable.
And it's a much better choice for the passenger side as well. I didn't realize this but the standard spring ride seat feels fine on the drivers side, but on the passenger side it kind of doesn't. Due to the seating position, the passenger...
So I have the traditional Snap-On cooling system pressure tester:

Does anyone know if any of the adapters Snap-On sells for these will work with the deuce radiator?
Thanks

There are multiple places the system can bleed fuel into the oil system. Go read this thread, it has a complete list of all the places the system can be compromised and some links to threads that show how to deal with it:
