The one at Indy closed at $6350.00. Somewhere around $7439.03 with bidders fee and tax. The one in Ohio closed at $ 7502.02. Somewhere around $8788.62 with bidders fee and tax. Wow !!!
I have two TP tools blasters in my shop. I have the small top load units. I always liked the topload models for small parts you have to hold in your hand and blast. I did make modifications to my TP blasters to suit my needs. The big one was making an angle iron frame for the door window and...
I must be lucky but of all my 6.2's I have never had a serious leak from an IP. At least a dozen trucks. Just a few drips from one I remember. I hope it's just your inlet line.
Fuel line
I agree. On my first civi 6.2 that was one of the first maint. items I did. The line was really rotten and leaking. There is a fair amount of room under the intake to access the fuel supply line to the IP. It is 1/4" hose. I use a 1/4" ratchet with a 1/4" socket to loosen and...
I have an OTC brand glow plug puller. It uses the split nut and spacer method. Works good I have never had a tip break off using it.
An alternative method to remove a swelled glow plug is to spin the glow plug out till you get a good seal in the hole and crank engine to blow it out with...
1997 Dodge
Pics of a 1997 Dodge CTD with a SECM bed. The truck was a Dually I converted to single wheel and installed the bed. It was easy as pie to put on. Had to make one adapter out of angle to bridge the 2nd and third cross members on the bed. All others I just drilled the bed where the...
M1031
Glad truck was unoccupied too.
Of the 3 I bought only two of them would work. I would like to keep the generator function without too much trouble. I used one of the other two right away on a New Dodge and the third was pretty beat up and a guy was trying to buy it ever since I picked...
Thanks Shrapnel. Most of the M1028's including that box were from the old dodge M880 series trucks. My truck has the PTO powered generator not the gasoline generator. The beds are somewhat different.
PA insurance
I live in the Commonwealth of PA. I don't understand insurance laws but we are a no fault state. I deal with my insurance company. I guess my insurance company can go through subrogation (not sure on spelling there) with their insurance company to recover damages but that is a...
Well my M1031 in my avatar was rear ended the other day while it was sitting in front of my building. The car slammed into the M1031's drivers side rear corner bent the bumper and damaged the rear box. It must have hit pretty hard it pushed the truck 14' on pavement. The car was obviously...
Welcome from Brookville, PA My wife used to work over that direction at the Iron Mountain Facility. She used to drive back and forth every day. We would both love your M1025.
I have used HMMWV 6.2 flex plates on CUCV trucks. I wonder if the K20 had a 700r4 trans ? I know the flex plates are listed by either TH400 or 700r4. I didn't know what the difference was that must be it.
If the civilian blazer has a 700R4 overdrive trans and a NP208 or NP241 Transfer case the driveshaft should be the same length as a M1009 with its TH400. Older blazers with TH350's would have longer drive shafts.
CUCV key was a no go with mine. I purchased 6 crew cabs on GL (Navy and Air Force) All have different keys since they are civilian trucks. I got lucky and mine all came with keys. Maybe you would be lucky and someone put CUCV lock cylinders in it.
If you do pull the Ignition lock cylinder a...
18' trailer
I'll second the 18' car hauler. I hauled my 90' V-3500 Crew Cab Dually 4X4 Navy truck from South Carolina to Pennsylvania on a 10,000 18' car hauler with fenders. The rear axle on the crew cab was pulled up to where the tires almost touched the fenders of the trailer. Towed back...
