Sounds like there is an interesting story here that you're depriving us of...
But I'm replying mostly in case a good previously unknown lead is turned up. I need/want to repower later this year. The ANG really beat up my truck before I rescued her.

In my experience the two halves are usually just marketed on eBay and other sites as AS-3900 antenna parts.
My bottom half is marked ASSY A3018230-1, my top half I cannot find any markings. A google search shows the upper half is A3018230-2.
Here is some detail from Valcom...
You're not gonna leave us hanging are you Dan'l?
Bad welds? Dissimilar metals? That makes me think of my first ship, USS Gunston Hall, LSD-44. She left initial construction with all the hotel steam piping (used for non critical heating and cooking) made of whatever 2" pipe the contractors...
I started with that in mind but my flasher was potted with ancient vinyl cement or some such. Hard as rock. I gave up and just whacked off the connector.

For HMMWV owners: I installed a civvy 24V solid state flasher to replace my military incandescent version. I didn’t want to buy the $50 military version so I adapted a Nartron 11613631 from theBay. I cut the plug off the old flasher and soldered the wires of the Nartron onto it so I could keep...

+1 on using an intercomm. I pieced together a used aviation setup from Softcomm and spent about $150 total. Works well.
If you want insulated and creature comforts, seems you want an H1, not a Humvee.

They are called Ancra Buckles. I bought a bag of NOS mil spec ones from an eBay vendor but they're so flimsy I haven't bothered to install them.
I am not aware of a source for metal versions.

I've been doing the same. Started remodeling in January and just finished. Hauled 3 tons (!) of debris to the landfill using my HMMWV and M116A2 radar trailer. Now she's hauling the garage contents to my wife's house nearby. We're finally living in one house. HMMWV is doing fine, despite...
Perform the parking brake calibration from the post-brake pads clause in the TM. If the parking brake is dragging it will interfere a little, and also overheat/smell, but not enough to impact transmission shifting, so I agree with those who say it's another problem also.

Very interesting. I will double check those on my rig. Yesterday the Wait light wouldn't go out, and no joy on cranking. In my case after seeing nothing obvious in the wiring, I disconected the batteries and reconnected. She fired right up after 10s Wait light and ran fine the rest of the...
I'm thankful for this thread. Commisserations, yours looks slighty worse than the one I inherited as-is. My lunette is fully shoved rearward, no forward movement. Getting a Master Cylinder was easy and not expensive, but I am not looking forward to all the other bits that must be smashed...
