At one point I started printing those manuals and then realized that its tough to find anything quickly so I inevitably just load them up on my laptop and use the PDF search function (Ctrl F) to find what I need and then print out the specific pages.
Glad you found the cartoons helpful. A lot...
Scott at EI also has them. Its odd as I checked the website first and did a couple of searches using the part number and NSN with no luck.
Here is a link with photo of the beast.

I think we need to start a thread on all the things someone should work on if they go to the trouble of tilting the cab. One of them definitely would be throttle adjustments.
To close the loop on this one Couch Off road has them in stock for around $1.50 a piece. As I noted these are very small springy objects in very tight quarters (unless you lift the cab). I don't think you could even get at the other end of this throttle shaft which has the same clip where it...
While driving my SEE from one location to another awhile ago, I noticed I had lost a few hundred RPM. The pedal would go all the way to the floor and I got 2000 RPM at best. Reading through the manual it looked like I needed to shorten up the throttle linkage on the injector side of the engine...
My research on portal axle leaks boils down to there is no problem with a slow leak as long as you keep the hub filled. The hub doesn't hold much gear lube and its real important that you have enough in there. I haven't heard of leaks of diff fluid into the portal hubs. I have heard of the...
Good to see you got one working. I find that the limiting factor with the backhoe is that even with the loader bucker full down the hoe will drag the SEE around. Even more so wen ripping at ledge.
I thought you said you got the optional Hein Werner bucket with the ripper hooks? Must be on the...
Are you applying air from an external source on the front axle or are you just turning the selector switch to lock and listening for air?. If you are not hearing air on the front with the selector in lock I expect you have a plugged air line upstream of it.
I have not done a locker seal but my...
On my SEE, the air lines connecting to the axles can not unscrew without cutting the air lines as the nut doesn't spin independent of the air line. That means that as the air line fitting rotates, the air line has to twist up. I realize that's not the design but rather is probably related to...
You may want to do some research on exactly where the differential lock drain plugs are, most are painted over and never have been drained. The manuals are completely silent on this procedure. I did post a pdf of the owners manuals page from my 1300 which has a similar setup at some point on the...
Well I have managed to roll start my SEE a couple times, unfortunately I managed to roll start it so the engine was running backwards. Usually happens when I am pushing a load uphill and stall it. The is definitely not recommended as the oil pump apparently only pumps oil when the engine is...
This company http://www.foxkits.com/has the universal tool and the seals for a SEE. My observation is that not many folks have the equipment to manhandle the cylinder onto a bench and come up with something to hold the cylinder from turning while the end piece is rotated. Other members who have...
I don't think anyone out there refurbishes them, they just buy one that was refurbished recently by the army at auction and then resells them as is. Others buy one and start rebuilding it but lose interest. I got one of those and the repairs he did were good but he obviously didn't use it lot...
SEE - Retracting the Boom
I had my SEE out last weekend for a work day which was digging in the bony rock filled soil of NH with some rotten ledge to scratch at with the ripper bucket. It preformed admirably but I have come to some conclusions on getting the boom locked at the end of the day...
FYI, a member on this site was selling surplus new starters. If he is out of them I believe VonsMogs has a gear reduction starter that should fit. I would guess that a good starter rebuild shop should be able to fix what is wrong with the existing on as the hours on this starter should be real low.
You are trying to apply American logic to a German vehicle ;). That switch definitely has nothing to do with the starter circuit. Those relays are mostly related to the black out lighting selector.
