    Our MTVR camper:

Well, I'm blind now, but it's trimmed... ;)

    Our MTVR camper:

We got the spray foam in before the sun came over the trees. The floor is now completely airtight, R-24 insulated, and monstrously strong. We just have to trim the rest of it after it dries. My wife is stoked- her goal for today is to get the subfloor glued and screwed on by 2100 hours tonight...

    Our MTVR camper:

Floor insulation completed. Tomorrow we plan to foam all the crevices to make it airtight.

    Our MTVR camper:

Thanks. We're learning as we go. This morning we learned that the circular saw is the best tool for cutting the rigid polyiso insulation.

Is it safer to wear seatbelts, or not?

A lot of people who have been in crashes have no idea what happened, and confabulate an explanation. One that I have heard MANY, MANY times, is a Harley owner claiming that he "had to lay 'er down" to avoid a crash (apparently not realizing that falling down IS a crash), when in reality what...

    Our MTVR camper:

Sorry, I still don't understand your question. The entire structure will be screwed and glued together with a fantastically strong urethane constructiom adhesive.

Is it safer to wear seatbelts, or not?

You're projecting- you have no way of knowing that...

    Our MTVR camper:

It's just about 100 degrees out right now- I'm not sure how much work we're gonna be able to do between the onset of shade (around 1900 hours) and losing our ambient illumination (sunset-ish). I did pick up a belt sander today- I suspect we're gonna be using it a LOT...

    Our MTVR camper:

By my calculations, the wood will weigh around 3,000 pounds. And I'm not sure what you mean by "building fastening sides"...

    Our MTVR camper:

Installed most of the floor insulation this morning. Had to stop when the sun got overhead, as the reflection off the foil was blinding us. We may try to get the rest in tonight after the sun gets low...

    Our MTVR camper:

Capped off the outlet end of the drain system and filled it with water- it doesn't leak... :)

    Our MTVR camper:

Had to take a few days off. Today we finished the bracing in the floor for our Japanese Ofuro soaking tub and our 600-pound custom-made gun safe, and insalled the drain plumbing for the bathroom and kitchen. Hopefully we're gonna be able to get started on the floor insulation after the sun...

    Our MTVR camper:

Thanks. They have a new consumer version that you can re-use without the pro gun. I haven't used the stuff yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

    Our MTVR camper:

Today we worked on adding some additional support to the floor framing, to support our Japanese Ofuro soaking tub. We also cut the holes in the floor joists to allow the kitchen and bathroom drains to pass through, cut the holes in the bottom of the front floor overhang for those two drains to...

    Our MTVR camper:

If you look underneath the platform on the driver's side, you will see that the leading edge is not supported as well as the trailing edge. We did add some stiffness to the trailing edge, but we have not done anything about the leading edge yet. The scissor stairs are on quick release pins and...

    Our MTVR camper:

3.5" thick rigid polyiso foam boards, with that "Great Stuff" foamed into any crevices.

    Our MTVR camper:

At the other end of the platform, we built an extension, as we plan to mount our propane, generator, and heat pump there...

    Our MTVR camper:

Spent most of our day running errands, but after dinner my wife and I fabbed up a drop-down for the mounting bracket for our $440 Torklift aluminum scissor-folding stairs. We're planning to buy another mounting bracket (and maybe even a third one) to mount under the cab door(s).

    Our MTVR camper:

Floor flipped right side up. Now we can install kitchen and bathroom drain plumbing and insulation, and then glue and screw the top plywood on.

    Our MTVR camper:

Ceiling framing glued and screwed, using the floor as a template/jig. We'll move it out of the way when we flip the floor over (hopefully tomorrow).
