The Valspar is two years old on the Pinz and has held up very well but the trucks sits in a garage so it is not exposed to the sun. The Valspar paint is an exterior paint so I would assume it will hold up well. No flaking at all yet and the main thing I like about the paint is it is relatively...
My vote is and will always be a solid OD green whatever shade/type you like. A satin/Low-luster will be easier to clean and hold up better than a full flat paint. My M101A2 trailer is going to be matched painted to a Pinzgauer 712M OD which is more to the gray side of green much like the WWII...
You are going to pay at least 35 bucks for the female 12 pin Nato plug and a few bucks for the 4 flat connector plus the cable. I picked up my adapter setup from a popular auction site as well as the 10-30 volt LEDS. After much research on my end the guy making up the adapter plug was the only...
Great! Hope you ordered 4 of them. I Left the small 24 volt bulbs in the housing for the blackout lights to use with the Pinz. I can't use them on the Mazda anyway. What did you order for an adapter plug ?

I don't know what LEDs you tried but I went with a 10V to 30V white LED and used it for the top two bulbs in the housing and they worked great hooked up to my Mazda Pickup and a Pinzgauer 6x6. Best of both worlds to use the same bulb for different voltages.

Interesting thread. It all comes down to the rotating mass of the assembly at higher RPMS and the imbalance, Extra heat soaking cycles, Tension on the rod bolts, Inherent tolerances of older designed engines and so on. The manufacturers goal is to produce an engine that will perform...
Just get an adapter to go from the 12 pin NATO plug to the plug you are looking for. They are available and you won't have to mess with the wiring. I installed 10-30 volt LED bulbs on my M101A2 so I can plug the trailer into either 12V or 24v.

I just finished a three month project closing down a big box store over at the Ala Moana Mall. It's a heck of a nice island but $$$ for everything. Good luck with the new toy.
A little off topic but running the 90w or 100w high power H4 bulbs has anyone run into overheating problems with the wiring? I know on some cars you have to install a relay to protect the cars wiring from overheating with the high current bulbs.

The M101A2 and the M101A3 use the same master. The venting system was changed from the A2 chamber cap to the vent line cap on the A3. either cap will work. The line vent seems to be the best system to be water proof and give normal atmospheric pressure to the master reservoir (14.7 PSI at sea...
The chamber unit is the stock military on the A2 and allows the master to be watertight in heavy fording. The civilian unit will not be water tight for those kinds of service but fine for everything else.

Yes there is. You can get a chamber breather like on the A101A2 or get a civilian cap that has small holes drilled in it as I did. The civilian caps for the early 60s CJ-5 will fit as it was a very common master cylinder. Mine was for a 50s Ford. Hope this helps.
