That is what I was thinking and if right the new bottom line will be above the rear cargo cover window and that could be cutout and reinstalled (stitched in) where is would now belong. I would have thought others had done this mod but I have not found anything on it.

I like the 2 man M998 setup but would like to lower the cargo cover to be in line with the truck much like the low profile on the soft top 4 Man setup. Has anyone done this as I am not finding info on this mod. Below is a real quick photoshop image of what it would look like. Any help would be...
I installed an adjustable pintle setup for my M101A2 and gives me all of the adjustment I need and still keep the surge brakes. I am sure this modification would work with other trailers.

I know they can be tuned to get into the CB band (27MHZ) but I want to use it for 2 Meters. I picked up an NOS base and antenna locally and would like to get it functional. Can't find much info for this use.
Thanks,
Mark
Looks good!
You could have gotten some of the new LED 1156 bulbs that run from 10v to 30v so it is the best of both worlds. I still kept the Lunette system on my M101A2
Nice work
Hi,
Thanks for replying as you are the man when it comes to modifications. Yes I remember that pic and you are right it did not look good. But since the MK17 is a short trailer anyway a cut down M35A2 bed might look right and you keep the shortest configuration possible for the MK setup. One...
I really like the MK-48 but it's too **** long with any of the reg trailers and I know you can't drive it without a trailer other than yard movement. I was wondering if you removed the fifth wheel mount from the MK-16 it looks like with a bit of fab work you could mount the M105 bed to it or a...
I can't seem to find any info on the trailer itself. Any help would be appreciated. All I could find was the UK modified a US trailer for their searchlight but that would mean we had a searchlight for it.

I would go with 3.42s and it will give you a little better MPG and don't forget the 700R4 has a steep 3.06 first gear, I love my 700R4 but I have it in a 89 Mazda B2200.

With the setup you have I would keep it between 55 and 58mph for a long cruise. Sure it will go faster but you will be beating the crap out of the motor to do it. My Pinzgauer will do 50mph on a preferred cruise of 3500rpms so that all she gets. I know it sucks but these military trucks were...
One box that I have seen that works well comes from the generator trailer. Hard to find but sure fits the bill if you can locate one. Why don't you mount the spare on this inside out of the way? I know it takes up a little space inside but it's really not much.
