It pumps both ways...it'll load itself. The truck is a M49A2C which has the stainless steel tank as Bjorn mentioned with two 600 gallon compartments. The M49A2s, not the Charlie model, had mild steel three compartment tanks. They can be identified by the wheel well cut outs over the rear axles...
That picture is from 2003. The story I heard at the time was the construction was halted by higher ups and the truck was never finished. I have never seen a finished product.

11.00x20 Load range F max load single is 5920 at 85 psi. Six tires is total max load of 35,520.....the hairy edge, not even considering the design limits of the brakes and suspension of a deuce. I'd be at least as concerned about over loading as over speeding.

RE: VA Rally
Might be a bit further north than you were thinking but i've been to a couple off-road events at The Cove:

How 'bout rolling the door glass down and spanning across the whole cab from the top of each door? Be careful not to over load the two small bolts holding the top to the windshield. I've had pretty good luck using a sledge with the handle verticle and hitting the top with the side of the hammer...
Maybe you've already got a pile of 24 volt H4s but there's a guy selling them with the mil connectors. I just can't find the link at the moment, anyone? I'll look to see what I've got. I always clip them off old bulbs before I pitch them.

RE: found m116a2 part#
Speaking of cross reference list....may I suggest an administrator for this and possibly a better list system here? I'd be more convenient if the list was divided by vehicle and some one was watching the forums for more info.

I've got a line on a couple up here but I haven't been able to get a price out of the guy. I want to say they were bringing $2500 on GL. I want one for my M915.

RE: Re: RE: Looking for an M1008 CUCV rear drive shaft
He dosen't have them listed on his web page but http://www.parramore.com/index.html
has them in his advert in MV Mag. I bought one from Andy several years ago for my M1010.

RE: Re: RE: GL is a Barnacle upon the Butt of Progress
A pile of calls to Waste, Fraud and Abuse would probably help or DOD's version:

Re: RE: 5 ton Transfer Case Ops
You're showing your age RAM...those late model M939s came out, what, almost 25 years ago? If I still had my M931 I'd be able to put antique plates on it next year.
