    i use 40wt non detergent oil. as to not going into gear, 2nd especially, when stopped, that is completely normal and 40wt won't help. things just have to be moving slightly.

    i fail to see how there is ANY increase in pressure or wear by turning up the fuel. all you are doing is raising the position of the fuel dump bar. you are not increasing the pressure just the duration and only by extremely marginal amount. a LDT can easily be turned up more than it can handle...

    no, a thinner oil would be better. not that 40wt is thinner, that is all i run in mine. last truck = 10k miles at 68 mph.
