Searched here and found a newer M1078 A0 mine is a 95 numbers don't match. They still use a separate ground each head light to the Chassis Ground so that is what I am looking for. Got Dark enough for a test of new 600W LED Side Flood lights and the Front Light Bar. Very happy with all of them...
OK I got lights at least on one side and the Passenger Side would work if the Neg/Grd was working?? Wire 91 on Passenger Side Head Light is not going to Ground at all? I just need to get the Ground working and would love to find the place these wires go to for the Grounds in the dash/cab? I have...
I thought I had a low beam not working on the passenger side but did not check Hi Beam on it?? Heck never drove it in the dark yet except to test my added lights there OK. Going out to put 2 new lights on the Cab then pull the Head Lights and test for power and double check what I did at the end...
Put the New LED's on and only have a High Beam on drivers side and nothing else?? Heading to see my doctor in a few but will look into it later? Both were wired the same and I checked fuses but seems there on a 15A Auto Fuse and one was working so it must be good??? I did look around for a while...
You made it sound easy now leaving it hang out of the Dash. Wish I had thought of that!! I have a lot of empty road to try this on. Ordered me 2- LED Head Lights tonight since I had a burned out low beam on one. Did not take much to get me to buy them!
82,000 lumens total if all on. On Fires I used the side ones all the time to turn around at night so I could see where my front end swings to. I will take some night shots. Waiting for darkness to stand on the roof and take some pictures. But the Lights are on now and work.
My Speedo was a newer one off a newer year I still have my old one it may even work now cause my Generator was causing it to not work right having low voltage.
Got the Speedometer working nice and smooth now except it is off a little??? I set the DIP Switches to the same setting as the Old ones were. Need to find out which ones to switch to Up the Speed some on the back of the Speedometer. I drove 25 miles but only registered 18 miles so I know I am...
Wired for 6 LED Fixtures each on there own switch. Supposed to get the Lights today?? So I did the wiring for them. Got the switch box in place to control them. Will dress up the wiring more when I am sure they work off the switches right. Did them in a way I could remember just using feel to...
Had to look inside the Old Generator today just to see if anything looked out of place. I could only get the rear plate of where the smaller coils are. 2 of them looked over heated and were now loose. The rest were OK looking. On the end with the pulley under that plate are many connections...
I put a high value on the M1078 I own seems like a real good all round truck if all goes well. I was lucky in my mind that the one I got had such low miles and little problems. Blows me away how cheap they go at the auctions??? I am so far away it is not worth it to buy a parts trucks and park...
OK Tested the Generator/Alternator today on a long drive in Town. Ran Great and even the Speedometer started working smooth with the proper voltage! After I shut it off I checked the pair of Batteries both 13.32-13.34 so still topped off. Before they would start dropping and I charged them each...
Installed the M1078 Generator today I bought a while back off EBay. It works and is charging the Batteries OK. Total Voltage is 28.1 Volts 13.51 VDC and 14.49 VDC to the 12 Volt battery. The 12 volt one needed little more of a charge in the test? After I go for a drive leave them all hooked in...
