Yes, it is a Schrader Valve (Tank Valve) For M939A2 CTIS Wheel Valve, Part #599756. Erik's Military Surplus has them ( http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/scvatvaform9.html ), along with most hydraulic hose repair shops and some NAPAs.
I've replaced a couple on my A2, simple.
I regularly haul heavy loads with my A2 and it does quite well, grossing between 44K-55K pounds. And does a decent job of keeping up with most other trucks on the freeways.
The 8.3 turbodiesel was the only reason I bought my 931A2, while awaiting the right M920 to become available.
It's funny...
Get an A2 with the 6CTA...the 8.3 is soooo much more responsive than the NHC-250. The only thing NA diesels are good for, are for old farm tractors. If you're going to be hauling, you'll appreciate the 8.3 turbodiesel. I haul all the time with my 931A2, and I noticed a world of difference...
Typically LeTourneau made cable-operated mechanisms, while LaPlant-Choate made hydraulic blade attachments around this time frame.
I have a 1942 Cat D4 5T with LPC hydraulic 3-way blade, but it's in much worse condition than yours. Your Cat looks fantastic, congrats on getting it running again!!

Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to meeeee..... :naner::driver::jumpin:
Well hypothetically speaking, anyway....maybe 98G will finally have a place to live & park his collection by then!
Just wait until you put a load in the back, and get some serious torque hop from the rear suspension between 30-40mph....
Those 16.00 tires are far heavier than what used to be on your truck, so that extra weight is forcing the suspension to flex a little more when the intermediate axle starts...
If your torque rods all look OK (which they seem to be, by your photos), then that is normal flexing of the rear suspension during turns and whatnot. Every one I've driven with rear torque rods (vs. Hendrickson or air-ride) all do the same thing. And the offset of the tires is normal, after I...
Thank you for the correction!!
Ron stated on another forum that the BATFE cut out that glacis & is using it for testing purposes (ricochets, deflections, etc...). It belonged to the fellow who was killed recently when a round in his M18 detonated prematurely, and Ron hopes to get it back once...
Got to visit Battlefield Vegas today to pick up some M35 parts they wanted gone, and peruse Ron's tank farm.
