Maiden voyage from Kansas to California in M934

Wow, ANOTHER member from SLO county?
  2. 71DeuceAK

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Exactly what these trucks are good at/best suited for! (At least IMHO). Good looking truck, too!

Maiden voyage from Kansas to California in M934

You made it! (With the truck). Congrats! Maybe I'll see it this summer...

    M923 radio

    MtnSnow, nice setup!

    M923 radio

I've thought something like the above pic myself...
  7. 71DeuceAK

    M923 radio

That's my concern too...legality with that.
  8. 71DeuceAK

    M923 radio

I've thought about that too, owning such a unit already. Especially in a multifuel Deuce. However, I'd like something a little more permanent.
  9. 71DeuceAK

    M923 radio

If I did one, I'd probably do it under the dash, or mounted to the cab top (hard top of course). Standard aftermarket car unit...but that's just me.
  10. 71DeuceAK

    M923 radio

I've also been curious about doing this too...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Awesome, a 927 huh? Do post pics and recovery stories!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

It happens...owning a 5 ton has a learning curve I suppose...including NOT LEAVING THE BATTERY SWITCH ON!

    m35 brakes

Right...I can see why. Chances are you won't be rear-ended by a large truck in that case anyway, more likely a small car.

    m35 brakes

The ones where you involuntarily stop, right? The one thing with those I've wondered is: What about the involuntary stop at an inopportune time? (freeway in rush hour, etc?)

    m35 brakes

Interesting, the emergency-brake thing is something this newbie here has wondered for the last year himself. I did once have the (slightly hair-raising?) experience of riding along in a friend's M49 tanker Deuce, whose brakes didn't work. It was, however, not on public roads. He was an...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

@JohnnyBM931A2...that must have been a great sight to behold! @theRooster2001, you mean you'd lose the truck, or lose it and intentionally flatten one of those little cars? Or both. Yeah I imagine traffic must suck there. LOL at "Spoiled 5 ton that lives indoors"...well, it's in its...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Regardless, it looks mint! Daily driver? (Seeing as it's at the front of the garage).
  18. 71DeuceAK

M939 Series 5 ton as Daily Driver?

    How far do you commute?
  19. 71DeuceAK

M939 Series 5 ton as Daily Driver?

Interesting fix! You must drive your 923 all the time then?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Good luck and have fun! Take lots of pictures!
