HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Tom, I planned on wiring the 12v fan clutch using my PCMDS that I purchased last year. It isn't installed yet, but do you see a problem with running several 12v and 24v taps from the distribution box? Link here...

    Exhaust Smoke

Every time you crank a deuce the white smoke is the spirit of a little baby seal that dropped dead at the North Pole. I haven't killed one in a LONG TIME, but I hope to be on the road soon. Black smoke is just dead pulverized dinosaur juice.

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Finally got back to working on my deuce. For the past few months I've been really busy at both my day job (engineer at a chemical plant) and at the website consulting business that I own. Attached are a few shots of the companion flange that I purchased from Drivetrain America in order to...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finally got back to working on my deuce. Finished installing the custom Black Rock Fab passenger side bellhousing mount on my Cummins 6BT. Next, I installed the new 24v starter. If the rain holds out tomorrow I will install the driver side bellhousing mount and measure for a future custom...

    Lock outs, locking themselves problem.

I have been self nominated to help you with a small grammar lesson for future posting purposes. You posted: "I have sense bobbed..." and "I have sense installed..." What it should have been: "I have since..." Just trying to make sense of it all. On another note, how do you like your...

    New Custom Hitch Install

Nothing until I finish putting in that 5.9 cummins! rofl I think Kyle at BlackRockFab said the hitch was designed to pull eleventy billion pounds. Heaviest thing I could think of would be my ex-gf on roller skates. I might need some detroit lockers for a load that size though!

    New Custom Hitch Install

Shoot me a PM with your number and I'll give you a call. I'm still going through the 5.9 install. Cold weather crap. aua

    New Custom Hitch Install

Great job on the custom hitch. I envy your fab skills and completed budget. I raise you one pic of my hitch. :) I outsourced it to BlackRockFab, but I didn't mind.

Cool Video of self driving trucks

Shoot the spinning thing on the roof. Computer reboots. Truck comes to a screeching halt. Looters run wild.

My second score !! The mad hatter !!! m923a2 with ROPS !!

Wow, beauty is in the eye of the beer holder with that one. Should be a helluva lot safer than any other MV out there though. Good score!

    U bolts up or Down?

My rear u-bolts are up, but I'm running deuce front springs in the rear. The front u-bolts are down because I haven't messed with the front suspension (other than grinding on the bottom perches to change the caster).

M1070 HET on weight reduction plan

Just think of the endless redneck possibilities you have now to put back there: 10 person spa, drop-side cargo bed, roll-off bed...

    Electric Winch Install

Yeah, and the Olympus is $10-15,000 depending on where you find it for sale. Too much for me.

Air assist drag link too short

You need to chunk that puny steering riser arm before somebody gets hurt. Attached are pictures of my riser arm that has a 8" rise over stock to account for my lift kit. The riser arm is 1" thick and has a 3/8" gusset. Just give Blackrockfab.com a call or email and he will make you one just...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

If I had the extra $$$ laying around I wouldn't mind having a Soni-built FEMTT with Mattracks for that "go anywhere" capability. Soni: What size tires are on the M1070? 16R20s? If so, what bigger tires are you going with?

    Deuce'n Donuts

Nice video! I can't imagine doing that without power steering. :D Looked like you had a few onlookers. Be careful with the 4-wheel drifting if you go back out there and lock the front hubs. You will be covering ground quicker than just spinning in a circle. Might wanna find a more empty...

    cummins 6.7 ?

I'm in the middle of a 5.9 Cummins (6BT) and Allison AT545 automatic swap. No electronics are necessary. The downfall of the swap is the Allison is only rated to 475 ft-lbs. Even got to keep the stock transfer case and intermediate driveshaft. I will update my build thread soon when I start...
