WOW!! That 10 ton is un-real. I've never seen one for sale before but I may start paying attention. That would give most LEO's a heart attack when it comes to the bumper height laws.
See avatar for a JD side by side.
IL is getting a bit crazy on stuff. I registered three M35s in the past month. One we went w/ 25999 plates so we can "use" it. The other two are reg. as antigue. The DMV guy (not a legal authority) said as long as I am stock and play by the antique rule that I should be fine. Asked directly...
The more the better. I'd like to see the Texas guys or the Florida ones and the Arizona ones but I figured most MV owners don't travel too far unless it is a full blown rally like Aberdeen.
Keep responding to this thread and once the museum has the details and such I'll spread the word...
The former Savanna Army Depot may be having a MV get together in the future. Are there any members that would like to participate? It is in the very early planning stages but the depot was closed as part of the BRAC. It is located literally on the banks of the Mississippi and is a beautful...
Go for it. That would be a great addition to a paintball course. As far as ins. goes you mentioned that you are good to go already but if you weld in a roll bar in the front and rear and install lap belts the issue goes away. Your next obsticle would be who would wear the lap belts? That...
That is awesome. I have 6 deuces and my daughter wants one that is pink, purple and white camo. Your truck looks great and I do not want her to see it or I'm screwed b/c it looks better than I ever thought it could. My problem is what if I had to driver my baby's truck once it's painted her...
Looks like you got the right idea. How much $ could other farms save if they did this too. You can't touch another modern vehicle with the capabilities of a deuce for $3,000...in my opinion but I'm sure someone has other ideas.
Hey guys, long story short. A guy that use to live near my town in Illinois saw an article in the newspaper about my Dad and I rebuilding M35's. He called from Tucson AZ and offered me his 1942 GMC 6x6. He isn't sure if it is a M211 or what but from the sounds of it, it may very well be. The...
If we ever meet, remind me not to shake your hand for fear of damage to mine. I'm 156lbs and pretty sure I couldn't push my deuce down a hill while in gear and running with a brick on the pedal. Glad to hear you got it back home safely.
One of lifes most frustrating things has to be a...
Hey guys, one of my new deuces has this little handle / lever next to the front axle lever? The attached photo is not mine but shows the same handle. It appears to have a picture of a windshield on this one but the image is gone on mine.
Thanks
Jason
I couldn't bring myself to part that truck. My brother is in Afgan. and is looking for 5 ton axles. For that price it was ripe for a part truck. Nice save.
That 5 ton is a motivator. I've seen it on here several times and everytime I do it makes me start thinking again. I hate thinking b/c it always costs me money!
I raised the hood last w/e and couldn't believe how well the engine looked. Untouched for 15 years or so but still looked good. The plug wires were there and the battery hadn't decomposed.
This thing has so much sentimental value that it is the sole identifier of a region of our timber. If...
If you don't buy a basket case and take care of it, they run, parts are easy to come by and cheaper than your 87 Chevy. The most expensive part will be the second and third deuces you will end up buying. Can't have just one.
Met my wife in the Air Force who is from Stonington and later New...
Here is our old tree pulling machine. We called it the War Wagon because it was shot out before we got it. It worked well for it's purpose. Not sure what year or what it actually was / is.
Believe it or not, this is what it looked like when we parked it. It didn't start the following year...
Thanks guys for the info. I too thought the compressor looked newer as it had less "grime" then other engine components. I'll have to consult the manual as I've never removed an air filter from the comp.
