Would have been nice to have a narration to the video as I didn't see what your trying to demonstrate. Seeing fan going round and round. Looking for clutch movement and if you were flipping the switch ON / OFF didn't catch it. Maybe my bad eyesight.
Now I can't hear after the video, CAMO
The wait indicator is an LED with a internal 300 ohm current limiting resistor. Wire # 27 is 24 volts from the "RUN" position. The other wire #571 is pulled low (to ground) in the "control box" to illuminate. They can and do go bad. Easy test. Ground the #571 lead to test with IGN switch in...
I am not sure what you have going on here. Not even sure what day it is...LOL Pulley on generator / alternator seated correctly? Did someone swap out alternator bracket ? (not sure if there are options here?) Right location with the ears and spacer. Cool yellow and blue diagram. SS 60 Amp...
WOW and it didn't wind up some other parts. What AMP rating alternator? Guessing it's a 60. If it is might want to check for a broken mounting ear or the left out spacer. Not a baseball term.
Just guessing. Need pictures and more data. Story of your rig and any mods to help figure it out...
Free guessing here...What is the fluid in the air filter? Couldn't see see the bolt clearly. (is it correct never know) Filter does wiggle wobble as shown.
Check plastic tube for out of round and cracks. Two O rings OK. Some think a better fit up to not suck air on a bad pick up tube. One...
Setting in my easy chair and fumbling with the numbers and a beer (putting all the post together) I came to the conclusion that one couldn't blow or suck enough air with ONE "over the counter fan" to do the job in a stock configuration.
Kind of a factory HumV guy here... So after playing with...
Not looking to beat anyone over the head here...so put your kelval on or thinking cap LOL
Here in the Mojave Desert, but could be anywhere... HIGH temps into the 118 range pulling a trailer or cruising around town in stop and go traffic, the OEM fan set-up just follows along on demand. Doesn't...
The statement highlighted above has me thinking 🤔... That's the best thing that could happen if my fan failed... short of snapping the blade off. At least I am driving home with a cool engine ☃.
Electric fan ??? blow a fuse, burn up a motor, wire falls off ??? Where's the back-up there? I...
Don't hold me to it.... I read the do nothing third clamp is to keep the canister from resonating. A lot of suction / air going on in there. Kinda of like a girdle on a big girl. Leave it off and parts are going to fall off or out LOL. Follow the TM or be mansplaining to the motor pool SGT...
It's a simple "J" bolt. $5 - $6 bucks each. Now the bracket pricing can be a bit pricey for what they are. Shop around $25 to $40 bucks for NOS. Prices just keep going up Up UP, And that's for the simple stuff. I think mine is worth more in parts, LOL.
HumV... spelled backwards is DIY, CAMO
What's all these vehicle loads were trying to maintain?
My basic M998 currents draw. No air con, all bulbs incandesant. 185A starting and glow plugs 85A for the very short time they are on. Just running IP solenoids, fan solenoid 1A . All lights on and stop 9A. Wipers 4A, heater motor 5A...
Right back at YA... Cape Canaveral. Ask a question... Get questions.
Priority ONE... Don't mess with anything necessary to start truck and ride home. That's the wayback machine. IE; leave it OEM, military 24 / 12
What's going on with the 12 Volt doors? Motors, solenoids, remote control...
Confused here. What's the big deal about drilling a hole or two in the bumper for a license plate. What am I missing here?
It's not a boat and going to leak, CAMO

Those M- series trailers are being built into DIY overland rigs... which might be why the crazy high prices. I bought three years ago NEW out of Barstow $470 +/- each. See utube for all the builds...
From corner plate to finish phase one. The "Tactical Tent Trailer - T3" Now working on the beer and BBQ, B2.
Not exactly HumV, but the colors match and the hookie hoop hooks right up to HumV, CAMO
