Pictures of the dunnage and shelter shackles. The front and rear of the dunnage keep the shelter from moving fore and aft.
I have my shelter shifted to the left side of the truck slightly to offset a weight imbalance, there is more equipment on the right side than the left.
Yes, I used chains on all four corners. The chains are for mounting antenna brackets to monopoles and the turnbuckles are for tower guy wires.
As for the four smaller shackles, I do not believe that they are used to secure or lift the shelter. We used them in the Air Guard to drag the shelters...
I used 3/8" chain and 1/2" turnbuckles to secure the shelter to the tie downs. It hasn't moved yet.
As for the dunnage, I had an Amish friend of mine build it. The shelter fit snugly for the most part. After some "trimming" with a chain saw, it fit well.
Sorry, I do not have any pictures of...
TM schematic is incorrect. The color one here is correct.
All of the Orange wires go on the output side (glow plug) of the GP relay. None of the Orange wires go on the resistor side.
Sounds like the passenger side alternator is no longer an isolated ground unit.
Looking at the schematic, if the passenger side negative terminal is ground, it is possible to have the results you have described. Ensure that the suppressor on the alternator has not shorted to ground either...
Took a ride to see CUCVRUS, we finally had a chance to meet in person and chat about a lot of things. Conversations were great and we had an enjoyable time looking at his projects and parts inventory. His work quality is superior!
Rick has a plethora of CUCV parts and is very reasonable with...
Looks very similar to mine. I put a ratchet strap on mine as well just in case the winch cable fails or something goes wrong.
Very nice job with the custom work!
That's why I added a second tank. I wanted to have more fuel utilizing the empty space under the bed. No fuel cans for someone to see and possibly steal.
The downside is that you need to fill up twice, once on the left and once on the right when both tanks need filled.
I do not remember what brand it was, I think I bought it at Pep Boys some time ago and simply used what I had on hand at the time .
It's not fast but it does do the job, I simply run it for a few minutes and just keep transferring fuel from time to time as I drive down the road.
It most likely...
I added a passenger side tank to my M1008. Most of the parts came from LMC and worked well.
I added an electric fuel pump to transfer the fuel from right to left tank and added a second fuel gauge for monitoring the right side tank.
Also kept the return line from the IP to the drivers side...
