Are the HMMWV adapters the same as the adapters that go in the 2.5/5 ton battery boxes?
I don't know much about HMMWVs but in the big truck battery boxes, the Optima adapters help take up the extra room left over by the much small Optima.
Ridges on the bottom of the Optima slide into the...
Folks, we appreciate all the kind and level head responses and I think we can say that any bad stuff is behind us, so I'd appreciate letting that little issue go away. In a few weeks, I'll delete several of these posts, but I'll leave them up long enough for everyone to see in the interest of...

Rally buy/sell/trade thread is now up: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?139139-Official-2015-Ga-Rally-buy-sell-trade-thread
NOTICE OF DATE CHANGE:
Last week, Durhamtown contacted us and asked for a sit-down meeting. I drove out the next day and was told our weekend, that we’d already been given approval for way back in November was no longer available. A group that puts on “Tough Mudder” events has rented the entire...
The official 2015 Ga. Rally info thread is here!
The purpose of this thread is for sellers to advertise the items they are bringing, or offer to bring if buyers are interested.
It's also for buyers to post up what items they are looking for. Maybe there's a seller who has something you need...
Well, not a hill like going up the side of the mountain, but the dump truck was a solid 8' lower than my truck, over a distance of probably 125' at most. And red clay is like ice when it gets wet.
Different truck than the first one in this thread, but I thought since I already had a thread up, I'd add to it.
Friend got a dump truck stuck Saturday. We figured with the gravel in it, it weighed about 20K lbs. Pulled it up the hill with no issues.
Carnac's new trailer is pretty darned nice. He got here yesterday about 6pm and we had a few hours to relax and just shoot the breeze after we loaded and unloaded everything. It was nice to hang out.
He left last night about 10 and today should be in South Atlanta. Not sure exactly when he's...
Carnac texted me yesterday @5:09 pm EST and said he was leaving again.
This morning at 4:33am EST he texted and said he was pulling off 288 miles from College Station, I assume he meant for a nap. Will update as I get more.
Trailer difficulty about 80 miles from the house. Getting the hub off and fixed in the morning and will attempt to depart once again. Schedule accordingly.
Carnac just called me to tell me that he is departing El Paso and should be at College Station (shearlegal) sometime around lunch time Friday.
After departing college station, it's on to Houston and after that, timntruck's place. Hoping Houston before rush hour. When he gets closer to...

The mule was made in 6 varieties over a 12 year production span and many earlier models were rebuilt in military overhaul programs, similar to how M35A1s were rebuilt into M35A2s. The basic overview of mule history is:
The first Mechanical Mules, the M274 & M274A1, had a...
There are dual voltage alternators, originally for HMMWVs in 100A flavor and later on, in 200A and 400A varieties for MRAPs and such but the alternator pictured is the standard M-series 60A 24V unit.
I do not understand why there is 14V at that stud.
I have never seen any piece of military...
