Thanks Rick. Ordered the WAI motor. Got 20% off, so it came to $123 with tax and shipped to my door. I did one on my other 1009 years ago. Agree it is a simple job.
That happened to me a while back. It turned out to be the parking brake indicator switch, which had come loose and needed some attention. After a tweak and some tightening, all was well.
LOL ! My wiper motor just gave up on me on the ride home, just as I was making my way up the Sawmill River Parkway...........in the rain!!! I was looking at replacements and Advanced has a Carquest rebuild for $66, with a lifetime replacement and a new WAI with a lifetime replacement for $115...
Rocknus,
If you make a deal with CUCVRUS, I will be going down sometime in the next month or so to pick up my 09 from him. I live in the northeast corner of CT, so I should be fairly close to you to come get it. Saves on shipping and any possible damage during shipping.
From CUCV's to a Tank. Not a bad leap. Restore the interior with a few modern touches, update the drive train and clear the body, keeping the rust. That thing will scare anyone on the road, with the exception of some hardy long haulers !
I have one on the back of my truck. Definitely lightweight, but I don't haul much anyway. It will handle my little #2000 capacity trailer when carrying my Ingersoll 6018 just fine.
My trans was doing some of the same things. Would drive fine most of the time, but every so often she would start acting up. While She is down with Rick getting serviced, he suggested it get looked at. Turns out it needed some work (a lot of work from last report). At least going forward...
Full throttle, did you install that set up? What LED bulbs did you use and how is the cut-off? Is it blinding oncoming traffic? How is the glass (some of those housings are a great price=, but have pretty thin glass).
I was thinking of the Hella housings...
