Tracer, that's exactly why I'm getting the cargo cover. So we don't have to sleep in a tent. There's a family camp out on July 4 and my back is getting a little old to sleep in a tent. The truck is always a work in progress.
Fitted the cargo cover bows I bought from the Findlay show. Fit like a glove! Now I just need the cargo cover. I accidentally took out the light in the barn. I guess I have to raise some lights up a bit higher.
Went to a car show on Sunday. We were the only military vehicle there. All the big trucks wanted to park next to us. Also relocated the starter relay. Cleaned the contacts too. So far started every time. I put it on the frame rail just behind the primary fuel filter.
I disassembled the relay, cleaned the contacts and relocated it to the frame rail just behind the primary fuel filter and below the air horn. We'll see if that does the job. The truck started and ran. That's a good thing.
I will take apart the unit and give it a cleaning. If I do need to replace the relay, where can I find one? Can it be interchanged with a different relay of the same voltage?
Hey all,
I was reading some older threads about the starter relay getting warm due to it's location, and not engaging the starter until after it cools down. That's the problem I'm having at the moment.
I was just wondering if any of you relocated the relay to a cooler location under the hood...
Welcome from Northern Ohio! Nice looking truck. I wondered what the bolt holes under the passenger seat were for. The com system. Thanks for the pictures.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a canvas cargo cover for the M35A2 and the bows. 3 color camo or solid OD green. I'd even opt for the desert tan. I will be at Findlay Friday and or Saturday.
Is that the story of the Luftwaffe pilot who escorted a battered B-17 out of Germany?
Yes. Franz Steigler escorted Charlie Brown and his crew in Ye Old Pub out of Flak range.
