a pallet jack should work fine for moving your generator. i move mine that way all the time. be aware that pallet jacks need a smooth hard floor or a suitable dock plate to get the load over any step in the surface. there are two methods that work fine 1 put blocks under your gen and lift from...
last week before the storm hit i started my moms 003a my two 002a's and the 802a just to base line everything ahead of the storm. i received 0 inches of snow and 0 inches of ice and 0 mph of wind. the temps rose to near 50 during the day and all was well. our Governor declared an emergency...
pretty sure Aircraft Spruce has all of the individual parts for this carb. just need to cross the part numbers and buy only the part you need instead of a kit.
if you know the part number you can purchase the parts from Aircraft Spruce on the web. they carry most of the individual parts. price will be high because aircraft liability but many parts are the same. i think they even have an updated float.

i think this is a direct replacement
i think on some of these the needle valve has a rubber tip. sometimes you can salvage the tip off of another kit. other than that and the foam float just a cood cleaning should make it run perfect. there are some who tale a brass float from another kit and re solder it to the arm off of the foam...
you should check your air cleaner and intake for restrictions not allowing the carb to control vacuum. try running without the aircleaner and make sure that little lever on the aircleaner itself is operational.
i have a couple of these i use regularly. the float on the carb is made from foam and alcohol will swell the float and cause the symptoms you describe,so don't use any additive that contains alcohol and make sure you don't use any gasohol fuel and you will be fine. there was a cross over...
yup pretty much sums it up. but one thing to consider using a tractor on a pto is the duty cycle on the tractor hydraulics, transmission etc. does the tractor have the capability to run the gen and keep everything cool? some do and some don't.
i used to have a big winco pto gen we used to run the dairy farm during outages. we ran it with a 140 hp john deere tractor. the generator was matched to the tractor pto hp so we could let it run non stop without worrying. i think some people buy pto generators without taking into...
the sound is coming from the intake i think. i think you have an intake valve problem. take a dollar bill and hold near the exhaust and see if it momentarily gets sucked in. do the same on the intake and see if it gets blown away intermittently. i hope you don't have a bent push rod
i really don't know but while i was waiting for someone who does i would make sure the solenoid ground was real good. and that the wire connections aren't weak or corroded.
you could start a battery bank with an inverter and use the excess power generated by your generator to charge the batteries during the day and just use the battery bank at night. it is called a hybrid system and would save much fuel. you can add PV or wind to make the genny run less too.

Thank You. i am not trying to be argumentative but let me ask a question. the TM specifically states not to use 10W30 oil so that leads me to believe that the " John Deere "oil that the military buys isn't the same as what i can get in the dealer??? the lister info says the same,"not...
