So the brackets are one part of the puzzle. Does any one have the other parts, such as the idler pulley and the pulley that goes behind the fan or replaces the fan pulley?
If I could figure out how to post pictures "MacBook" I would show you the cart I made to lower the trans onto then roll it out on the passenger side after also removing the muffler. I built it as low to the ground as possible to clear the frame. Lmtv722 and I removed the one I have and we...
To answer your original question I have a 2004 transmission waiting to go in my 2003 LMTV and the tooth count is 134. I'll try attaching a photo.....I tried with out success.
I personally don't recommend the balancing powder, from my own experience with it in my RV tires. The previous owner put that stuff in the tires and I was unaware of it until the family was on a cross country road trip as a responsible person I would check tire pressure every other day or so and...
Can you describe your symptoms that make you think the alternator is bad? I have an 03 M1078A1 that had multiple warning lights referring to the charging system and have fixed all but one.
I'll need to do this to my '03 A1 also, as it seems all A1 LMTV's the rubber used doesn't last very well. If you could please share with me where you acquired you body mounts so I can replace mine as well. My rear sway bar bushings were also rotted out and missing all together. I searched and...
That's kind of what I thought, 55 is fast enough! Enjoy the scenery. The true difference in time is insufficient, 250 miles only takes an extra hour comparing 55mph to 70mph.
But what type of mileage do you get at 55 with the higher gears?
From what I understand there is a secondary pump for the transfer case that uses the passenger side PTO output of the transmission to run it.
Allison rebuilds practically every model except the MD 3070. I did find 3 different companies that would rebuild 2 of them were right at $8,000 and 1...
My M1078A1 2003yr had all the fluids drained when I picked it up from GovPlanet. So I filled my Transmission with DexIII and it ran well until my first 100 mile round trip and 1/4 mile from home it shifted into neutral and rolling to a stop. Turning it off and back on a few times I was able to...
Sorry that last post didn't send properly its about the door handles.
Be sure to take both door handles to the locksmith, mine were both different and ended up making to trips to the locksmith. He used volvo key blank Ilco x29 key.

Also they are prone to breaking a small part inside the door handle and very hard to find replacements and expensive when you do. So be sure to keep the latch lubricated and working smoothly to prevent extra stress on the door handle.

I would think I would need both the transmission and T-case sense they share the same fluid. Whats the year, serial number, and how many miles on it? As they had numerous wire harnesses for it. And of coarse how much?
Without listing all the symptoms leading to the final nail in its coffin here is the last thing I found. After removing a cover an the back of the transfer case gaining access to the out put speed sensor area I found two and a HALF small roller bearings measuring about 3/16in long by 1/16in...
