Gov holding sales of M1101 & 1102 trailers in Texas ??

I won a lot of 3 brand-new, still-in-the-case front drive axles for Navistar MRAPs for a smoking price last month out of OK City...by the time I drive out there to pick them up (No EUC required), the government has placed a "hold" on them and I can't pick them up after 3 days' worth of driving...

Anyone installed dual tanks on their deuce?

I installed a NOS unused tank with hardware I purchased from fellow members. The lift pump supplies the primary tank on the passenger's side, so I didn't have to disturb any of the stock intake/return lines...the pump is powered through a switch on the dash. It works quite well.

Extraction and Shipping Help: Herlong, CA or Reno, NV

I've been there several times, and had no issues. I use Susanville Towing (530-257-5114) to recover items for me & store them, until I can make one trip there to recover the several items at a time. They so far have only charged me $350 to pick up and NO storage fees; they work with shippers...

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

The 6V53 would seem to be a better drop-in option, and as I mentioned before, get one that has the Jacobs solenoids in the heads so you have a built-in engine brake...that will take care of slowing your speed on the way down the other side of the hill & not overwhelm your stock brakes. As Ron...

    1600+ miles in a Deuce

I forgot to mention that I did chain the steering wheel so it wouldn't turn much; otherwise the front wheels always want to turn against the direction you're going...so when making turns, I had to plan everything out for pull-through only and very gradual turns...no sharp turns and no backing...

    1600+ miles in a Deuce

LOL, thanks fellas! Warthog, sorry for the "driveby" but we were on a tight time schedule and there were several other members I wished I could have stopped to see but just couldn't fit it into the time schedule. I wanted to leave a couple of days on the back end in case of problems...

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

A 6V53 would be more realistic, and if you're not too heavy on the right foot then a 3053A might hold up. I understand the concerns while going up hills, it would be nice to hold a constant speed while ascending, and if you get a 53-series with Jacobs heads then you won't have to worry about...

    1600+ miles in a Deuce

Last week my Dad & I took my Deuce on a long road trip to Oklahoma City, OK, and eventually to Dry Creek, LA. I had won several items in OK City, as well as an M931 tractor in Fort Polk, LA, and wanted to pick them all up in one fell swoop. We left Utah for Las Vegas, NV, and then...

    Many thanks to Jeepsinker!

You won't be disappointed, I can guarantee it! I took him to lunch and was more than happy to do so; I doubt that he'd turn you down. He's a great guy, you'll be happy!

    Ft Polk pickup available!

Garrett, thank you so much for picking up & storing my M931A2 from Ft Polk for me!! The drive back to Utah via Las Vegas went fairly smoothly and I appreciate all of your advice & willingness to help out. I would like to endorse Garrett for any pickups he can do for anyone; his rates are an...

    Many thanks to Jeepsinker!

Garrett, aka Jeepsinker here, picked up an M931A2 I won out of Fort Polk for me; he did some work on her to get her roadworthy and parked her on his property awaiting my pickup. Garrett was very honest and helpful, he answered all of my questions and was very patient with my nitpicky...

    Ft Polk pickup available!

Try muriatic acid, as used in swimming pools...get a gallon or two from a pool supply store, not the diluted stuff from Lowes or Walmart. Soak it for 15 minutes on each side, then rinse thoroughly with water. It is very caustic, so wear thick rubber gloves & a face shield, and DO NOT breathe...

    HMMWV Body Panel Tooling

Out of curiosity, do you have any in-place agreements with AM-General, or any other current license/patent holders related to the HMMWV? As I recall, most of the civilian aftermarket body-makers who were producing look-alike bodies for 1-ton pickup frames (and others) were either all bought out...

    Our New Departmental MRAP

What exactly did I do for you to make that connection? How in any sense could my justifications for LE use of MRAPs lead to your declaring I'm nothing more than a "mall ninja?" Nice cheap shot. Completely uncalled for, but nice cheap shot nonetheless. So, in your estimation, why do LE...
