    AWOLs 1997 M1097A2 Build

I started following the lines and got side tracked lol The start box looks like it tried experimenting with self immolation, and failed.

    AWOLs 1997 M1097A2 Build

It arrived today! So far, it looks very clean for the price I paid. I stripped it down, and power washed everything. Took inventory of what was in it. Found some machine gun links, unfired blank rounds, some gun lube, and the factory jack. Surprisingly it has batteries in it, but they're...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I've seen them running with stuff missing too, but some listed as non runners are listed that way for the most bizarre reasons. I have a buddy who got his from GP as a non runner. He put two batteries in it, changed the fluids and it fired right up lol

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

It's amazing what they list as non runners. No fuel, missing batteries, or a belt missing and it's an automatic non-runner lol Nice truck!

Well, I'm still twiddling my thumbs. This time it's waiting for the shipper to pick it up. It's been 8 days and counting. :/

Were non-turbo Humvees produced after introduction of the M11xx-turbos ?

That's my guess. They're probably looking at H1s

Were non-turbo Humvees produced after introduction of the M11xx-turbos ?

My 1997 is a 6.5 non turbo. They definitely made non turbo trucks after 1996.

    FARMVEE

I love seeing Hmmwvs doing different lines of work after they retire from active duty. Nice to see one on a farm putting in work!

    M1114 project

The paint looks great! I like the level of satin/gloss to it. It's not totally flat.

    AWOLs 1997 M1097A2 Build

What kind of shelter would they use on a 4 man? Just from zooming in on my phone, I think it was an Airforce truck. That's a sweet setup. I think I might borrow that idea lol

    AWOLs 1997 M1097A2 Build

lol I'm sure it was abandoned somewhere. That sucks, but I can't complain for what I got it for. Anyone have any idea what that can shaped object is near the fan solenoid?

Yessir I know a guy in the Danvers area who deals in a lot of Humvee parts.

    AWOLs 1997 M1097A2 Build

I'm in Newburyport. I don't know what that is. I haven't seen it on the other trucks I was looking at. It's strange looking. Yeah, I noticed they were on there. It's missing the big center section, but the front and rear are present. Pretty cool.

    AWOLs 1997 M1097A2 Build

Been about a month so far. Still twiddling my thumbs lol Already in talks with Blue Ox for a set of his door skins and rear curtian. Going with the tinted windows all around. Should look good.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Looks amazing! I'm doing 20% doors, 5% rear window and 5% eyebrow on the windshields.

    ECV Aluminum radiator review

Looks good. I've run Champion radiators in a bunch of my cars, including high horse stuff, and never had any issues.

    21 Hrs, a road odyssey
