Actually gelling could be a issue come spring , if the fuel gels in the filter the paraffin wax in the fuel will remain solidified and plug the filters.

It passed the senate yesterday and was sent to the house , what it does there or if the Governor will sign it in the next 2 weeks who knows. They are pushing a bunch of lame-duck bills before the power shift after the first of the year .

The stock filter in 1966 was probably a washable one . That looks like a combination of waste oil and not draining the water regularly.
Most people that run waste oil carry extra filters.
The 1 local truck parts store that stocks a few different styles and at least 2 different threads on them. And now Cat has their own system and their own style bottles.
Most equipment dealers around here quit stocking them a few years ago when they jacked up the hazmat fees on shipping .
There should be part number on the bottle , they screw off , expect to pay around $50 or so for one .

Most people do the Rosscommon conversion with both alternators . Any other conversion your pretty much on your own to figure out, it might help to post pictures of your set-up. Post #1 of this thread has a link to the Rosscommon guide (click on yellow text below).
