    How to repack wheel bearings?

The inner seal is almost a press fit. It will come off the a little gentle persuasion on the back of the seal with a brass hammer. I just redid all of my brakes, bearings, and seals. I do not reuse the seals, I replaced them. A brass drift pin is the method I used for putting the new ones on...

    Welding with ear protection?

I, too, had gas drip into my ear while removing an engine from a VW. The pain was intense, and had the same hospital vist. I always wear ear protection when working around cars and trucks. That was an experience I do not want to re-live.

A few questions about DOT 5 and what TM I need.

I just bought another gallon of DOT5 on ebay for $49.00 + plus the ride. It often appears in the classifieds. $120 is way high. Remember, do not mix DOT 5 and 3. Some of the guys are switching from 5 to 3. Be sure to COMPLETELY flush the system with denatured alcohol first either way. I am...

    Deuce Brake Line Question

Here are my questions: 1. I am replacing all the brake lines on my deuce. I also am replacing all wheel cylinders, seals and repacking wheel bearing. I purchased several pre-bent brake lines from White Owl. I will bend up the ones they did not have. BTW, White Owl was the only source I could...

    Winch Help

I am adding a Garwood 10K winch to the front of my wo/w M35A2. I cannot find in the TMs any info about how the winch engagement lever bracket mounts under the cab. I have looked through TM9-2320-209-34; TM9-2320-209-20; TM9-3830-206-34P. I am missing something. Thanks for your...

    Deuce road tractor conversion

Ray, Do you have to thin the HD paint or can you spray it right from the can? I have an airless and will go over the truck front to back, top to bottom, in the spring and and wanted to use the HD 383 color. Did you by it in semi-gloss or flat?
