Well,I have FINALLY gotten around to starting this thread that I had promised I would start on 2 years ago!!
What I intend to cover is the necessary parts to change/replace when doing a powerplant change on a M39 series 5 ton truck,as well as the proper procedure of same.
The object of my...
Hmmm, well Pic 2 is one of the coolant distrubtion hoses from the intake manifold to the heads, and in pic 1 it looks as if it was getting coolant in the engine oil and vice versa.
Mine had a broken crank, but that one shattered the crank journal bosses in the block, there were some major forces at...
Many moons ago(around 1999),when I first bought Oddball my M35A2C,it had a noise that could be described as a "loose flywheel" it got worse with the clutch out and lessened when the clutch was pushed in.
Upon inspection I had a broken crankshaft, just past the #4 main journal, ran fine and leaked...
True, but I look for every truck with this setup and usually bid on em.
Plus,I already have 5 Mack powered trucks and 1 spare engine plus extra Mack specific parts. That isn't counting the several I have passed on to others.

Then again,that is just...

The second welder just had some light rust on the rings from sitting.
Yeah, they have a 120V circuit as well,2 standard house plugs per each.
I had a Hobart 500 amp diesel welder mounted on a M353 trailer before,"welding shop,trailer mounted".
But I sold it several years back.
Well,I figured I would start a thread posting up the progress on the 2 Libby welding corp 300 amp welders I won from GSA around 1/24/13.
Both units were listed as unknown completion or running status, and I did not preview them, and I ended up winning both for a very reasonable sum.
They are 300...
Subscribed.
Good luck and Godspeed Jeff,if you need a set of 10 ton mirror arms for Brutus,I think I have a spare set around here.
I have always liked the M39 series trucks, mainly because of the history behind em.
