I never bled mine afterwards. There's no pressure on the system at that point, and the hole the switch screws into is pretty small. You shouldn't lose very much between pulling the old switch out and threading the new one in.

So, it's been awhile since I replaced mine, but I believe fluid will dribble out when you remove the switch. I advise to take a picture of the switch. Compare to pictures on line to see if yours is old style, or new style. Purchase the appropriate switch, replace, and refill the master cylinder...

I found a hotel with good customer reviews and a decent price, but I have no idea where it is in relation to the convention. We don't mind driving in from somewhere in town. We may walk up and down the street some once we get there.

I had to replace mine a couple years ago. I don't remember where I got the replacement, but my son and I did some serious prying to get it to pop into place. Once we got it in, it fit like a glove.

Any small block Chevy will bolt up to the TH400 transmission, and the motor mounts. More power, decent fuel mileage, and with the 3.08 gear in the Blazer, no worries about excessive RPMs.

I assume you're referring to the timing chain/gear...
I bought a gear set several years ago, but I don't remember from who. As i recall, it was a special run. No one that I know of is making them right now, due to low demand. The stock timing chain should last well over 100K miles.
