Update on the half shaft bolt removal: I went by "Bruce's Rod Shop" today in Spring Texas. Danny Burroughs, the son of the owner Bruce Burroughs, welded a bolt onto the end of my stripped bolt and out it came. When I asked how much I owed him he asked if I was ex military? I told him yes, USAF...
I replaced my rear half shaft. I purchased the locking bolt kit made by Blue Hummer. It is a great idea as well as good quality grade 12.9 bolts. The problem that I had is that the 12 point socket that I used came in contact with the half shaft hub not allowing for a square fit on the bolt. The...
The Dorman CV boot spreader works great on the more flexible CV boots. Here is what happens when used on the heavier duty military grade CV joint boots. The manufacturer recommends 90 PSI for use. It wont even begin to spread the heavier boot at that PSI. I even tried to heat the rubber boot to...
The kit is a Cold Master 4500. The kit came uninstalled with my HMMWV purchase. I was told by the seller that the kit did not come with the 5 groove pully or, from what I understand, the compressor bracket. These items were also included by the seller with my purchase.
I had received...
I had this Cold Master A/C system sitting in my garage for over 1 year. Finally installed it and not to soon with Texas temps pushing 100 degrees this week.
A "Big" thank you to everyone that helped trouble shoot my Rocker Switch problem. It was suggested to disconnect each switch and run accessory to power. When I did that it was definitely a reverse polarity issue. Everything is now working fine.
I wired the USB Rocker Switch directly from fuse panel. The USB has 2 pins / Pos. and Neg. Very strait forward. Positive from 12 volt fuse box and negative from 12 volt fuse box The fans and the fog lights plugged into the cigarette lighter. I cut the male ends off and wired them as positive...
Yes, the switches are lit. When I turn the switch on they light / Switch off the lights go off. I tied 7 and 8 together because someone on this site posted a diagram showing them tied together. I have been on several other sites where all stated the same thing. I chose 7 and 8 for ground...
Side note ; Each accessory had a male adapter on the end that plugged into a cigarette lighter or female power source. I cut off the male end and wired each accessory accordingly. Could this have something to do with the problem as every thing was working fine when plugged into the female power...
# 8 and # 7 have been tied together. Here is the nominclature: # 8 tied into ground from fuse box. # 7 tied into the ground wire from the fan. # 7 and # 8 tied together with a jumper wire. # 2 tied into power from fuse box. # 2 has continuos power. # 3 tied into the positive side of fan. # 3 has...
I'm in need of some help in wiring a 5 pin Rocker Switch. I wired 4 switches in a gang box. 2 for accessory fans, 1 -USB switch, and 1 for LED Fog lights. My problem is that the only switch working is the USB port.
Here is the nomenclature: # 8 tied into ground from fuse box. # 7 tied into...
I Wanted to tidy up my 12 volt electrical accessories. I installed a 24/12 DC -DC converter. A 12 volt fuse box and a trickle charger. It really cleaned up the battery box compartment quite well.
Finished shortening bows and installing over cargo area. I'm thinking of having a custom top made that will come down to top of wooden side rails. A bikini top if you will. Still in the thought process.
I would tend to agree. I bought the two that I needed from another site for $5.00 each. I was offered at no charge, shipping only, from two different individuals from another site. They do seem to be readily available.
