PVS-14 NVDs were sometimes fielded to Army units in these boxes. 1 NVD and accessories per box. I've seen multiple types of of hard cases come with PVS-14's, these seemed to come with later fieldings.
Hopefully the owner won't be like so many others and think his MVs are all have treasure hidden aboard. If he wants to scrap 'em I'd gladly pay scrap prices and take a M29 off his hands, and maybe a deuce to haul it in.
I haven't seen this mod myself, but are you sure it's a plate and not a rail around the perimeter of the roof to form a kind of basket? We used to routinely carry camo net on top of our shelters. Perhaps this was a mod to form a kind of basket to carry something on top? Looking further down the...
Thanks for the explanation Patracy. We all know (or should know) it's not your fault. These things happen, and I for one am very glad you were able to regain control of the site and prevent the loss of data or complete destruction of the site.
I'm curious though, it seems I've witnessed several...
Lagers, what service are you in? The govt (Army) shipped my firearms and would have shipped a vehicle if I had needed. Since you're going to Valdez I'm guessing a govt civilian or CG? Army, Navy, AF and Marines PCS are covered under joint travel regulations and I'd think would be similar.
I...
1101 and 1102 are the same. The difference in nomenclature and weight rating come from the intended prime movers. See the TM.
They are great trailers, and while I haven't owned one of my own I've used Uncle's quite a bit. I prefer the design of the 1101/02 over the 101, but if I already had a...
I read all the search returns on this subject awhile back and as I recall the MT-1/non-MT-1 debate was inconclusive. Strong arguments both ways. I wouldn't mind just erring on the side of caution and going for the straight GL5 gear oil, but I can't find any! I went ahead with the GL5 MT-1 for...
I went to the St Patty's Day parade here in Augusta, GA today... not a single MV. There was a Vietnam Vets group, 519th Trans Company vets I think, riding in a towed wooden military truck mock-up float.
Even the Veterans Day parade here in Augusta only had about 3 military vehicles. The...
Hard tops don't go to any particular HMMWVs in any particular units. You'll find them all over the Army (probably other services too). They don't have any specific purpose either. It's just a hard top.
I haven't seen many MEP-803s come out. I'd love to have one. They're great generators. I've seen 'em dam near dead and still churning out stable power. They'll do almost anything you ask of them and more.
