I use NOCO smart chargers on my optima red and blue tops. They do very well. I need to do some more research before using the aircraft charger. Will give the Hawker Battery folks a call and talk to them and see what they say.

I was recently given a 24V aircraft battery charger. It’s an older one but in excellent condition. A switch can change it from just powering the aircraft to 50A battery charging mode. It is an automatic charging system and not just a straight charger. Is 50A too much for a stock NATO system...

You get what you pay for. Many different noname/cheap brand lights are advertised for jeeps and such. Good Quality LED headlights cost a lot more than $100. Yes there is a difference. Quality, reliability, beam pattern, longevity, light color, materials and so on. One can save money on...

No idea on the weight, but Dexter Axle will have something for a replacement. They are a supplier to the Military. Did you look at the axle tab already? It will have the part number and weight rating, etc.

The engine definitely needs a bath. Car wash with hot water will clean her up nice. Just stay away from alternators.

I would also check the fluid levels in everything else in the truck. Everything.

You can do that with almost zero issues....... But......do not let it sit around for a long time with Prist added to fuel. It does not store well when mixed and will cause fuel system issues.

Put a can of Seafoam additive in your tank and 1 can each the next few tanks. It will clean up dirty injectors and improve the entire fuel system. You might have other issues but the seafoam will not hurt anything.

Definitely When our wife’s last met, they both had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. Especially when they were imitating us justifying our latest surplus purchase to them. Yea. Keepers both.

I haven’t done a thing to mine. Haven’t even seen it in 3 weeks. Temporarily assigned in Northern California with flying and really miss my M1008A1. My wife sent pics of her driving it. ........made the CUCV withdrawals worse.

JP8 an inferior fuel?! ........Hardly JP8 is an excellent fuel and has several additives that aren’t available in the civilian world. Run it all day long without worry.
