Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

Why don't you just move down there? Curve wreckers.:naner::naner::naner:

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

Atlanta airport is about an hour away (depending on traffic coming out). You can get a rental there or maybe on of the Georgia Mafia guys can pick you up. I guess this came about as a result of the new version of "don't ask, don't tell".

:tigger: Durhamtown has loaned us their Bobcat on more than one occasion if we asked.

Pickup in Anniston Alabama to Greenville SC

    :tigger: Mission complete.

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: The one I have does.....it heats a lot of water fast and burns anything. I may post some pics when I get it out of the barn and load it out.

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

:tigger: Well doo doo, ca ca and poo poo. That sucks like a Hoover (the vacuum cleaner, not the President). We are going to miss your tired ass......you're OK...even for an Officer. Maybe things will change at the last minute.

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: I have absolutely no use for one of those but that never stopped me before. I can't commit to buying it but if you still had it Sunday morning (when the rabid horse trading goes on) I might not be able to resist it. I have one of the big multi-fueled water heaters that went with the...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

:tigger: I have some spare tripods from my military journalism days. I'll try to remember to toss them in the mix.

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: No...if this don't work I'm pretty much screwed. Well, actually I can still pull the converter dolly but the intent was to do away with that onus. That problem exists even with the long bed on there. I have thought about installing a DOT bumper back there since a car could run all...

    Carnage in mississippi

:tigger: I know the M36 long wheel based deuce had the passenger side drop bed. It was explained to me that the truck was built to carry missiles and they were loaded/unloaded from that side. Seemed as good a reason as any.

    repower options for M123 tractor

:tigger: If I remember correctly, and I may not, didn't some of them have either the 903 Cummins V-8's or the 318 Detroits in them?

    Carnage in mississippi

:tigger: I've never seen a 20 foot dropside bed on an M927 or m928 (well actually I've never seen one on an 800 series long wheel base truck either). You may also have some issues with the bed sticking 6 feet over the back of the frame. The M927's and M928's have a reinforced frame to help...

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: I could tell you but then I'd have to cut off your head and lock it in the safe.

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: If I had used a deuce bed (which I had just sold) the end of the bed would have been between the tandems and looked weird. If the trailer can't make the turn I have a cutting torch and am not above doing some redneck engineering.:burn: As front heavy as the truck is (and the bed...

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

The weather forecast was for rain today but it held off so I continued to work on the modified M927. I set the plate that the 5th wheel will ride on and did all the measuring for the holes that will need to be drilled to mount everything. I hope there is enough room for the trailer to maneuver...

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: I'll be shopping for a tow bar for my logger buddy. He's a cheap date so if you have a factory second he may pop on it.

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: Well poop!!! I did a google on it. Didn't pop up. Any suggestions from the Peanut Gallery?

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

:tigger: Nobody goes hungry at the Ga. Rally....if you don't want to eat roadkill stew with the CAMO crew you can come over to the MKT and do some KP and get your meals for helping out. We always have good food at the rally.

    939 fuel tank capacity

:tigger: The only thing that lies more consistently than a career politician is a military vehicle fuel gauge. I just knocked the bottom of the strainer out of mine with a Tanker Bar.
