You can use 4" "blocks" in the rear to keep the HD leaf spring. They ride a little rougher but you shouldn't have any trouble out of them with only a 4" lift.
The high and low selections are done with a lever (no air involved). The air shift part is to engage and disengage the front axle. I'm sure with enough tinkering you could permanently lock the front axle, but it would be easier to just use an NP205 case. You probably wont be able to use the...
I've replaced a few while working on cars and don't doubt they'd move enough oil, but rigging one with plumbing fittings and finding a power source seems like more hassle than its worth.
I built a filter setup using a remote filter ment for a Fram PH8A filter and bought the WIX equivalent instead (~15mic instead of 20+)

I originally bought a pneumatic pump from Harbor Freight because I have air in my...
I'm trying to assemble my WMO recovery/processing kit and I have everything together except for a filter for my pump. I've found one online that is exactly what I want, but its about 150$ more than I think its worth:

Most will tell you to let it idle for 5-10 minutes before you shut it off. I don't think you need to baby it quite that much but its definitely not good for it to be run hard then shut off immediately. I usually idle mine for 2-3 minutes before shutting it down after regular around-town stuff...
If you're getting it from GL its in Huntsville AL at Redstone. I think Redstones zip is 35808.
If you want some help getting it off base or getting it started I live about 3 miles from Redstone's gate. Not gunna be much help in getting it to TX though.
Get a floorjack and some blocks if you're alone. It isn't real heavy when its out of the truck and you can stand and use your legs, but if your trying to manhandle it under a truck, especially with the tcase attached, its gunna be tough. I wouldn't want one landing on me.
May have to fabricate a bracket and put the alt on the drivers side if possible. Could also add an extra pulley on the front of the crank pulley and push the alt forward in its bracket to get an extra inch or two of clearance.
assuming it still has the factory 6.2 it would be exactly the same as installing it on an 08 or 09. Cab, engine and frame are identical, just has a different bed mounted.
The military sprays over it because they don't care about it, but painting rubber is going to make it dryrot very, very quickly. If it needs replaced you might as well tear it out and paint everything anyway. There could be flaking paint and rust underneath it that needs paint.
I'm more interested in keeping a mechanical fan.
Back to the original topic, would a 400 Cummins clutch mate to an LDT? I can modify bolt holes, more interested in its width to clear the radiator.
