Strange but with some things the LEDs won't work with normal flashers and you need a resistor to make a load on the flasher. Strange it works with no lights?
My M1078 had a brand new Florida title the seller got after buying it from the government. He had no problem doing it. I just took that title to the Washington State DMV and transferred it into my name in less the 10 minuets. Even got my Disabled Veteran Plates assigned to it. They(WA) called it...
Looking closer at the dash it looks like 6 gauges were replaced. Nice and shinny but the air filter gauge was not and it has been rubbed on a lot and no longer clear. This may mean the Speodo was replaced at one time too? So it may have more miles than that. Yours looks better then the first...
OK I looked at all the pictures but wondering how 1300 miles can do that to a truck. Paint coming off in strange patterns and the driveshaft looks like off 2 different trucks. Not knocking your truck but we had old trucks when I was in the Army and they were inspected in the motor pool and they...
I had to totally rewire a 83 Chevy Pick up it was so messed up from others patching things and adding stuff to it. I was teaching a kid how to work on his truck. I just cut all the wiring out and started over with some kit and added better cables where needed. Got it 99% done for him and he lost...
Same here I might have mine this week end it is now in Transit to me from Florida to Washington State. One long haul! I know what your feelings I am so pumped up I could POP!
Great news my 1996 M1078 is on the way, the transport truck picked it up today. There hoping to get it to me by this weekend! Now I am perked up! Doctor told me today my worsened breathing was a reaction to the new meds so he stopped one. Guess I will live longer and better till the next screw...
It is normal to blow off on the Dryer off and on. I hate those mud wasps they fill in holes on everything around here. I will haft to put some mesh screen in that hole on mine to stop them from filling it up like they do in all the ground prong holes in the plugs in my shop, fuel hose etc!
Did not know the flatbed had a spring system already then bolting the RV to the flat bed rigid is the way to go. Your doing a great job on how your building it. Glue and Screws id the way to go. I will be building a Camper Shell like wooden structure for my M1078 and make it light enough to lift...
Never said these bolts were right but did fine where I could get the right sized shouldered bolts once my truck gets here and I can check if it does not have the newer fan already installed. I looked at the new fan in the manuals and they are using 6 - 5/16" Bolts with washers, lock nuts and 1...
This is how I used the springs on mine but I had pairs of them. You can just use a long bolt and add springs on them near the cab under the frame so there is some give. These are only 11.50 each.
Tank Springs
If you put springs on those bolts you could hold it like a Water Tank is held on the frame. I made a 2500 gal box tank out of 3/16" plate steel 4,800 lbs of steel. I hinge mounted it over the rear axles where nothing gave and used 8 tank springs with 1/2" Grade 8 bolts. Drove it off road on wild...
There is a Ribbon Connection to the Dash Gauges and lots of black ground wires to check. Fuse Block connections ect bad/dirty Bulb Sockets or just burned out bulbs that give these kinds of problems. Just start looking for corrosion problems.
I found the bolts on line kind of pricey at $1.33 each but this place has them. Not sure they will work as I don't know for sure what the length of the shoulder needs to be? These are 1/4" dia with a 3/8" long Shoulder 10/32 threaded area. There are lots of them under "Shoulder Bolts" These are...
I just had them from what my Father in law left me. Not sure how many I have probley 20-25 of them. Not sure where you would find more?? He was a Machinist and worked for Boeing. I need to count what I have to see if I can spare a bunch?
Success I got my Title transferred from Florida to Washington State and Plates and new Tab for the M1078 this morning!! They said does it really have 2840 miles on it and I said yes. They were not so happy they only got $1,303.50 to put it in my name and no license fees or tonnage! I put my...
Well I will do the bolt on method. I have a bunch of Allen bolts that have shoulders on them so the smooth part in the hole not the threads. Not paying 700.00 for a bolt on one if I can do the same thing and probley with better bolts.
I will use these bolts or type of Allen Head Grade 8 hardness.
