Wondering about spinning a 400A 28V DC alternator with an MEP-002A. Have a bunch of 002's and bought a few of those (MRAP/LMTV?) alternators at auction a whole ago. Seems like it would be pretty easy to machine an adapter that would allow a pulley to be bolted to the fan to drive an alternator...
Engine stalls when shifted out of neutral, into drive (yes, PTO disengaged). My brother is suggesting that it may be a air solenoid that controls torque converter lockup? Not finding anything in TM's, can anybody point me in the right direction?
Have a 1079 here and would not hesitate to remove that C-channel subframe and add wheelwells/drivetrain clearance. No big deal. A lot of these guys don't like modifying military trucks, and seem to think that it's impossible to improve on anything designed/built by the OEM's.

Spicer 3053A out of a multifuel deuce is much cheaper, stronger, and had a wider gear spread than the NV4500, worth looking into if you have room to run a divorced transfer-case. Putting one in my M1031 with a divorced NP205...
Military trucks registered as historical vehicles in CA are exempt from emissions requirements, but when I see people posting pictures and videos of **** like that blast of smoke it makes me wonder for how long...
How high do these things lift? Like, what kind of angle? Looks like maybe about 30-degrees? Wondering if might be able to use as light dump trailer, in addition to hauling containers.
