If you have to ask this isn't the right truck for you.
All habitats for these trucks are custom built. You don't just "buy" one, you commission their construction or construct them yourself unless you buy a military van or expandable van.
3126b and C7 both have the same LMTV and MTV ratings in stock form. LMTV is 275/860, and MTV is 330/860.
I can program 3126b LMTV's to the 330/860 spec, and I can program all the C7's to 330/860 or 370/931. Thus far I have not found a higher power map for the 3126b unfortunately.
That's a good point - It's not uncommon for some joe to incorrectly wire up the LBCD studs. My intake grid heater was on the 12v side of my LBCD. Probably related to various troubleshooting performed by PFC Snuff that was never able to find the cold solder joint on the LBCD ground pin of it's...
If you want an M1079 then wait for one. That's what I did. It's worth it in my opinion.
Changing the speedo head on an A1R will just pull the same mileage from the MMDC as the previous speedo head. They are CANBUS gauges and only display what they are told to display. You can check the CAT...
A1 and A1R (3126b and C7) both calibrate speedo readout through the ECM. That goes for the speed input to the CTIS as well. I can program both as well as change all the CTIS settings to anything desired.
Mileage is stored in the ECM on both the 3126b and the C7 and I can program both of those...
Nope. Ran mine that way for quite a while troubleshooting the charging system. Spent 9 months finding my issue:

A1P2 seats are even better than A1R seats. The armored cab trucks have 4 point (really late models are now 5 point) harness seats made by Mastercraft Defense.

They do sell these on the civilian side also for Jeeps, etc...
Should be a 3116 by the year. What does the diagnostic port look like on the driver's side kick panel? The A0 trucks have a 54 pin analog diagnostic port. The A1+ trucks have a 9 pin J1939 digital diagnostic port.
All of them say exactly what they are on the valve cover. All options are inline...
Congratulations. You need a new mechanic.
Options are 3116, 3126b, and C7
The 3208 is a neat little engine - 10.4 L V8. Would love to put one in an M1009...... not even close in appearance, number of cylinders, or vintage. Your mechanic....... well isn't.
Before you do anything else - fully charge each battery out of the truck and test them to ensure they are good.
How did you try to bypass the LBCD? If you hook the 24v batt/load cables together one one stud, and the 12v batt/load cables together on one stud and disconnect it's cannon plug that...
Huh. Had it in my head it was a 6x6...... regardless the parts are available. The difficulty is probably finding anyone willing to do a rebuild on the third-member. They are rather large, heavy, and somewhat more complicated and unknown to most shops - even one's familiar with R&P setup...
The truck in question is a 6x6 and all of the 6x6/MTV always had the high pinion intermediate axle. There's nothing special going on there and the parts are available from any Meritor dealer.
The Titan is not "exactly the same as FMTV" - that's nutty to even consider. The major complexity with...
Personally - the oddity and rarity of it, coupled with the DEF/EGR/emissions BS, lack of CTIS, and the ridiculous price of the thing (I was thinking $100k for some reason, not quarter of a mil) makes it a total non-starter for me - and I could buy it if I wanted it...... You can get a nice A1R...
You can't look at it as a "new" truck. It's not. It's 11 years old. The rubber bits, the electrical connections and insulation, etc. How are the tires? 7 years is the standard for replacement.
My truck is a 2008 A1R LMTV (built by BAE same as the Titan) that had 2,750 miles on it when I...
The military "habitat box" is not the same as a box built for a civilian overland application. The civilian boxes are composite (plastic) panels bonded to foam and glued to extruded aluminum. The military boxes are built more like you would stick frame a house but with REALLY thick aluminum...
And the newer style replacement:
Cooper Bussmann EMS300-1224-D-00
Here's one for sale:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/364407038671
The original style had a multitude of problems so even if you have to temporarily use the above advice to get it going again you should replace it with the new version...
Typical. Trust nothing. Perform a full hub service including CTIS seals, repack bearings, etc. Lots of unhappy purchases from those jokers - overpriced and overrated in the opinion of many. Better off just getting an auction truck or a private party sale and doing it all yourself so you know...
It's a two-piece U shaped spring shackle mount. Not sure if the bolt heads are captured but the weight of the components will definitely keep them from spinning. I wouldn't take *all* the weight off - just support the truck with less of it's weight on that wheel. Spin them off with an impact and...
