Parts are rolling in again, got the Ford medium Duty rear mounts...I bought them for 2 reasons on to see the engine angle that Ford used (10 percent front rise) and 2 so I can use them as templates for the flywheel adapter mounting holes (they aren't quite metric or English spacing...strange)...
HiYa Guyz,
Got a question for you. I am placing everything in the chassis for the 6BTA Cummins conversion in my M135 and can't quite fit the Ross HF 54 in front of the axle, due to rad/intercooler and the eventual air compressor (that is if I can A get the motor bracket for the Bendix 550...
So I felt a little guilty about messing up the posting . I finished up the design work on welding web forum. I thought I was waiting for final revise on the drawing but I noticed it was fixed when I looked for the drawings. I will start looking for a water jetter first or lazer cutter second...
Welcome! I am also repowering my M135.
I am making my front shackles fixed on my mine also. You could make the rear fixed but it was found that while it will articulate better for rock crawling the highway speed stability suffers ...spent waaaayyyy too much time on Pirate4x4.com! LOL
Tracer, So Funny you mention me, I have been trying to free up space for this truck for awhile now, it would be a good frame for the G7123 (provided the welds for the 5th wheel didn't weaken the frame) and lots of parts for the M135. But I am afraid that the M135 is going to take longer than...
This is the route I am going, I got the radiator and intercooler out of the same UPS truck and the intercooler bolts to the radiator...one of my few "LUUUCCCKKKKYYYYYEEEEE" moments on my truck.
On my intake I am going with the 8.3 size and intake mushroom, On a side note the first mod they ever did on the 12V was increase the the air filter size.
No I had just found out about your youtube channel a couple of days ago, haven't had a chance to look at more than one yet, but I will! If you get it on level ground maybe use one of the cheapo Harbor Fright angle gauges on the valve cover for me. I am going to run a New Process 205 but don't...
HiYa Jeepsinker, I have 2 questions for you. Where in relation to the top rail of the frame is your crank centerline front and back? Did you angle the motor for alignment of the transmission to transfer case? I am designing the rear motor mounts now for my swap so I can slide them in with the...
Here are hopefully better pictures of the horizontal and verticals of the masthead. Please note the width between the 5/16 slits and the overall width of the horizontal pieces have yet to be finalized, both the pulley and hook are approx. 1 1/4 in width, would like an 1/8" between pulley and the...
Hi Toby, the winch will be located between the frame rails underneath the still missing bed. The reason being is I want to have full use of the bed when not lifting...and not to "lift anything more than the booms and masthead when I need to raise something heavy, so everything will be hidden...
5.11.19 Update 2
OK the width measurements went up a 1/2" to accommodate the upper snatch block and I got the Vertical pieces designed will dimension and darken tomorrow but here it is!
5.11.19 Update
Todays update 5.11.19:Does not have the bolts holes and slits for the lower holes yet, but otherwise finalized design.
And it seems (at least from the other forums I am on people are interested in my thought process so here is a pic of a couple of pages in my notebook showing...
5.8.19 Update.
Was super busy this weekend with a fruitless Swap Meet event. I packed the 1992 Dodge 3/4 ton long bed extended cab loaded to over the brim in the bed and cab of British preunit motorcycle parts. But Monday I got some cool tools
Pre Tools layout
It wasn't laid out as nice after...
