Well, as you can see, there haven't been any updates in quite a while. Getting our home renovations completed so that we could list our house for sale has consumed most if not all of my spare time.
I did manage to sneak off a few weekends ago to pick up my wheels/tires from John's so that I...
Weird, you would think there would be a way to get it out since they robbed it off of your truck and the tranny was still in it. Usually they won't bother to put stuff back. The tranny would be laying in the wrecker bed upside down and full of water, right? :)
I'll pull up the manual and see...
Great truck. That p/n along with thousands more can be found in the 2 parts manuals available for download here on SS. Good luck. The 939-series trucks are a lot of fun.
Bjorn, et al, the site was started in 1999, but there have been numerous forum software changes over the years. That's why the forum doesn't go back to the beginning. Heck, in the beginning, there wasn't a forum. There were just a bunch of pics and info pages. I don't think I put the first...
I called you twice a couple of months ago at the number you PM'd me about buying your parts. First, I left a message with a lady and she said she would have you call me back. Then, I tried again, but got no answer. What happened?
Good pics. Doesn't look like they have purchased any new surplus in a LONG time. Business must have been too good on the commercial side. They advertise that they have a couple of HST (high speed tractors). Did you see those anywhere?
Welcome! We drive right by there every summer. My family has been vacationing at Cherry Grove and Sunset Beach since the 1980's! About 8 or 10 of us descend on Sunset every fall.
John knows how to lay down the CARC for sure. I plan to have him shoot my 925A2 when it's done.
Great truck by the way. Since you are a diesel mechanic in training, what about a big service body on the back with a compressor, welder, and a port-a-crane?!
Dang! It's hard to fine, much less three in the same place. What's the story with the trucks? If I wasn't knee deep in my other project I would be finding a trucker to run to OK!:-D
:-D Right Bjorn! Little bits at a time. I am not killing myself trying to get it ready for Aberdeen this year. There is just too little time for wrenching with my new job
I did receive another shipment of parts in the brown truck yesterday. It was the last of the really important...
Here's my 923A2. I miss that truck:cry: If I could find it I would try to buy it back from the guy. Dang...
Hopefully I'll have some of the 925A2 soon if I can actually get a day to go to Winslow's to pick up the tires and wheels so I can get the new tires put on
The 14R20 XL's ride...
Hi folks,
Here are our spots in the yellow lot: P3, Q3-6, R10-17, & S10-13 (17 spaces).
We'll get the spots organized as we get a little closer. ZiggyO has offered to loan SS his nicely decked out trailer to be used as a command center. We'll park that somewhere in the middle of everything.
Thanks to everyone who offered help. I ended up getting a set of diffs complete with Detroit lockers from Dave at Eastern. He yanked them from some USMC axles. They are on a pallet and should go out tomorrow.
Thanks Dave!
