Hi guys,
Does anyone know where I can find a set of two 5-ton Detroit lockers in good take-out condition? I recently sold a USMC 931A1 truck to a fellow member that that I advertised as having had lockers in it because it had the door placard and it was a USMC 939 truck. Unfortunately, he got...
One more quick thing. Peecook, I still need to get some cash from you for your spots. I don't have record of a check or PayPal for you. Please let me know if you have changed your mind. Thanks.
Guys, don't panic. Crazyguyla passed your info on to me. The money is in the SS general fund. I am waiting to hear from Bob and Anja as to where out spots are this year. They will be in the same general area as last year. I haven't been on the site much for the last couple of months. Sorry...
With everything that is going on, I haven't gotten much done on the truck. I did manage to go to Winslow's a couple of weeks ago to scavenge some parts off of a M925A2 parts truck. It had a lot of the important goodies that I needed to get my truck running. My brother, Chad, lent a well...
Hi everyone,
I don't know if you have noticed, but I haven't been on the site at all lately. That is because I have sold my optometry practice in Franklin, VA and have taken a new position in Richmond. We are still living in Franklin so I am left with a 1:45 commute each way and very little...
Nice looking truck. Welcome to the site. It looks to have been rebuilt like a bunch of other that came through that same GL site. If that is the case, then you can just check the fluids, air the tires if needed, fill it up, and drive home. It should be a fun trip back to PA.
That's one heck of a deal! I paid over a grand for my MM210 with a bottle of gas, extra wire, and accessories. Like Lanty said, even if you need to have it repaired, you still come out great on the deal. Your local welding gas outfit should be able to hook you up with a bottle lease pretty...
Thanks for heading up the SS at Aberdeen 2009 effort Marcus. We really appreciate your help!! I hope we can sell all of our spaces this year. It would be great to have a big group in the ECC and at the Rally. I'm not sure if I will make the ECC this year because of a job change, but I hope...
Thanks guys. Good point about the avatars. I'm not trying to be the forum secret police or anything, but if any of the membership spot some troublesome pics, sigs, posts, etc... feel free to notify me or Mangus. There is also a 'report this post' button on each post if you feel it is a bad post.
Again, it is necessary to bring this thread back to the top. There have been a bunch of posts lately slamming one political group or another. There have also been some shots taken at our new commander in chief.
I really need you guys to clean up your posts. Think twice before tossing out...
The ABS light normally goes where your air suspension switch used to be. The engine looks good. I think one of the air lines from the fan clutch actuator is disconnected or missing. The banjo bolt looks to be missing from the output side of the fuel lift pump. The ether bottle and washer...
Oh, that's depressing. There was so much history hiding in the woods. So many great parts to be scrounged. The high scrap prices last year finished off a lot of hidden treasures all across the country.
Mike, that would be awesome. I would love to see the look on your wife's face when you fire that thing up for the first time. It would be even better if you could wire it into the remote-start system :)
I concur, there is no comparison between the hot-water heaters and the fuel-fired...
Fantastic!!! Finally, someone with a trunnion. Please let me know how I can get a copy of it. Are there any engineering firms around you that could make a CAD drawing of it or something? You got one heck of a deal on that truck!!
The good news is that you have a fuel burning heater kit in the box already. Well.... at least you had one when the pic was taken.
There is a section for Want Ads in the Classified Ads section as well. Thanks.
I used the Haynes manual as a guide to change mine out. It wasn't too bad. I changed them all at once. I left all of the nuts cracked until fuel showed, tightened them down, and it started right up. Make sure you give the starter a few minutes of cool-down for every 30 seconds you crank it.
Come on guys. Have a little respect for Don. He posted a serious thread for our consideration.
We have been a little lax around here. I even broke the rules when I posted my 932A2 in the forum. Sorry. My desperation got the best of me. I try to encourage people to use the...
