Well that's concerning, I've been driving around for quite awhile that way. I don't think there's a chance that it will slip, but I'd rather it be correct. I'll pull it and inspect for damage.
Then mine must be different than yours. When I took the steering wheel off it clearly had female splines all the way around and it wasn't keyed for a particular orientation. Same with the male splines on on the steering wheel shaft.
EDIT: Maybe I'm wrong? I did some research and looked at...
I recently did this to mine. My issue with the orientation is that one of the "spokes" always ended up blocking my view of the speedometer. I was able to rotate it with one spoke at the 12 oclock position (well, close anyway) and now it's much easier to see the speedometer when I'm driving down...
Makes this one that just sold seem like a steal:

AP, API, and APIT rifle rounds are all currently legal under federal US law. You can have 50BMG API shipped right to your door (state law varies however).
Side note, can I ask why some members are talking about being thrown out for discussing armor? Is there some legal implication that I don't...
I'm speaking from experience. I just purchased a set of doors from the same ebay seller and already fixed them up. Theres a thread on it if you are interested. If you can hunt for deals, the replacement parts arent too bad.
I think they would be a decent buy at 2k. Budget $200 for glass from a local glass shop, another $100 for a replacement window frame, $50 for the 2 missing hinges, and $20 in bondo. Yes you'll need paint as well but generally you'll always need to paint doors to match your truck even if they are...
I was in the same boat recently, wanted hard doors but couldn't justify the price. I looked at the aluminum doors you mentioned, but they just didn't look right to me. West Kentucky Surplus makes their own fiberglass doors which look way closer to the original military doors, but I don't have...
See the pictures in the 3rd post of this thread. Its hard to tell if that crack near the top hinge is structural or just the paint. But I feel better now that its repaired with the reinforced bondo. It didnt want to flex there before or after the repair, but better safe than sorry I suppose.
That probably would have been fine for most of it, but some of the cracks were around the top hinge and I wanted the repair to add structural strength. I think the reinforced bondo did this well.
There were only a few spots that had exposed fibers. I cleaned them thoroughly with acetone and let them dry, before going directly over it with bondo. I used etching primer on the bondo before paint.
Regretably I don't have many good before pictures except for a couple from the ebay listing. I attached them here for reference.
Also, I will mention that this is still a work in progress because the window frames are not done yet, and the drivers side rear door still needs a latch installed...
Just wanted to post some pics of a set of x doors I recently restored. I don't know what I'm doing and there was a ton of trial and error, but in the end I think it turned out pretty good.
I got some really beat up X doors for cheap on ebay. The two rear doors were pretty good except for some...
