What does this engine tag mean?

What does this engine tag mean?

I'm not sure how to interpret this tag. Did my humvee get a new/rebuilt engine on the 71st day of 2002? My humvee is an 87, but this NSN number apoarently didnt exist until 1990. So it seems like it got a new engine at some point. And how do I interpret that date code? It says 02071. Fwiw, the...

    Need help with Packard connectors

Just ordered some of these: https://eriksmilitarysurplus.com/rushcoq10ms3.html Also I emailed them beforehand and they confirmed that they are definitely for 12awg. We shall see when they come in!

    Need help with Packard connectors

I assume just the conductive part of the wire. On the ones I received, the hole is way too small to fit even the conductor through.

    Need help with Packard connectors

Looks like this would be the one: https://eriksmilitarysurplus.com/rushcoq10ms3.html Weird thing is, the picture looks EXACTLY like what I received. The hole in that washer looks too small to fit a 12awg wire through.

    Need help with Packard connectors

The first link is for 14awg, not 12awg. The second link, the ebay one. That's the listing I bought. Seller is kind of an ass.

Color filled AM General lettering on tailgate

Yep. The tape bends around curves well. For the really tight curves I taped straight over them and then traced the letters out with a razor blade.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Well I got the antenna and it looks great! Also swept it with the sitemaster. Looks like a great antenna at the specified range, and acceptable at 465mhz. @Milcommoguy

    Need help with Packard connectors

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty sure I just got the wrong connectors. I contacted the seller and now he's accusing me of scamming him. Some people. Anyone have a good source on actual 12awg packard connectors?

    Need help with Packard connectors

I purchased some packard connectors for wiring up IR lights on my M998. I have some experience with connectors in general, but I've never used a packard connector before. The first thing I learned was that "male" and "female" are reversed on these (the connector with a female pin is considered...

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Thanks for the detailed reply, I wont mess with it then! And yes I'd like to maintain a somewhat low internet profile, seeing as the FCC database publically publishes names and addresses for all licensees.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Thanks. I was considering trying to chop the length slightly to tune it up. I do have a sightmaster SWR analyzer, I will check it as is first. PM sent with call sign.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Does anyone know the frequency range of the AB 1284/vsq-1? Some of the frequencies I'm using are 460 and higher.
