Gotcha, I do have two broken windows incoming that I can take measurements off of. Hopefully they dont explode into a million pieces when I take them out of the frames!
I need to order a complete set of windows for some X doors I just purchased. It looks like Federal Military parts has a set of 4 "laminated glass" for $289, or a set of 4 "bullet resistant polycarbonate" for $349. I don't beleive that 3/8" polycarbonate will stop ANY bullet, but I'm sure it will...
Just putting it out there...there is a big difference between saying:
"I think this humvee had the engine replaced, but I'm not sure what year"
and
"This humvee had a brand new engine and transmission installed in 2006 and the odometer was reset to zero. Thats what this tag means where it...
Thanks, can you clarify something? You say "at colder temps they do knock and clatter a little" does that include temps in the 30's? I'm just trying to figure out if what I'm experiencing is normal.
BTW, I believe my glow plugs are working because I do see the voltage drop during the period...
Thanks, is there a go-to block heater that everyone recommends?
EDIT: Looks like I have to remove a freeze plug? Not too excited about doing that. I think I might just try the magnetic oil pan heater first.
EDIT again: Looks like a circulating tank heater is another interesting option, anyone...
Now that it's starting to get cold (in the 30's), I noticed my 6.2L starts really rough. It starts up almost instantly, but sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders, actually shaking the vehicle for about the first 30 seconds. Eventually it smooths out and otherwise runs fine. I have no...
It's definitely the dimmer switch. It happened again tonight, so I tried tapping the side of the dimmer switch with my foot. I could make the headlights flicker on and off just by wiggling the switch. Mystery solved!
Are you referring to the button on the floor for high beams? I did notice that it is getting hard to click on and off lately. Maybe its on its way out.
Was driving at night today, pitch black, and my headlights flickered when I hit a bump. About 20 seconds later, they went out completely. I toggled the headlight switch on and off a bunch of times but they would not turn back on. I didn't think of trying to switch to high beams, so I never tried...
Wow look at this one!

$35,300, after taxes and buyers premium that's like 41K! For a soft top with soft doors, but with a PA title. Crazy!
That completely fixed it, thanks! I had to adjust the modulator cable ALL the way out. But now it starts in first, shifts into second at 15mph, and shifts into third at 27mph. I feel like I just got a 50hp boost!
I have an M998 with the three speed transmission. I can manually shift it with no issues through all 3 gears. However when I put it in drive, it feels like it starts in second and then shifts to third at around 10mph. So its never really in the power band.
I also feel like the accelerator...
